I'm interested about this. When I first got here I thought it was predominantly teens, but I've been talking to a bunch of adults here too. I'm interested to know this forum's primary demographic.

So while you're voting on the poll above, which do you think'll win?

Also, if you care to comment, what country do you hail from? Gender? Do you have kid(s)? What about sibling(s)? Go(ne) to college?

Call it a social experiment. I'm just curious. You don't have to respond, but I'd appreciate a vote.

(Plus, you get to know the others around you a little bit, whee)

(P.S. The demographic ranges are smaller at younger ages because of the general consensus of ages I've seen thus far)

I'm 22 (nearly 23 ... whee?), American, chick, no kids but 3 cats that act like kids, one half-sister, am going to college currently. :'P

I just turned 19 last month!
I come from the USA, I like people to guess my gender since I think it is funny (though, most on IRC already know it, or should), I do not have kids (though I would hope I will someday), I have 2 siblings: an older sister (a year older) and an older brother (two and a half years older), and I am currently in college.

And I think either 16-18 or 19-21 will probably win. There seems to be quite a few members entering college now, and that's about the 18 or 19 mark. =)

I don't quite get what Demographic we're talking about here.

Are you talking about the mean number of people at the forum within an age group, or who we gear our games towards?

If we're talking about the mean number of people, 16-18 seems pretty accurate, with 13-15 close in tow.

If we're talking about the demographic of who we make games for, I think 19-21/22-25 is a good area. Because that is closest to the age of people who understand and respect the SNES-Style RPGs that RPG Maker XP produces. Younger than that, and everyone wants to make Pokemon, and World of Warcraft, and Halo and shit.

I'm 20, from Brazil, I have a half-sister, no kids, I work, but I'm planing to quit working and start studying (however, I should decide between physics or computer science).

I think most people here should be around 14-16

25 years old as of a couple of weeks ago. Male. Two sisters, technically, only 1 surviving. Both older by 6 (living) and 7/8 years. Born and raised in NYC in the US. Of mixed stock - predominantly Scottish, Irish, English, Germanic. Some Mongolian and Native American (Sioux). My favorite color is green and I'm heterosexual. Brown hairs and eyes. 6'. Don't know my weight but it's over by at least 20 lbs.

School? Been to over 10 schools in my life. Kicked out of almost all of them, including a public school in the 4th grade after the first of my front teeth was chipped in a fight (followed by 2 more chipped teeth in later years). Spent at least one year in a Lutheran, Catholic, and some other religious school I don't remember the exact religion (only half a year there), public schools as well as 1 reform styled school. I dropped out of high school as a sophomore, actually my third year as sophomore because I only went to 1 day of classes in my entire sophomore year, but got my GED a few weeks later. I've been to a community college, but switched to a specialized college for graphics arts, and later film (Gibbs on both) but got screwed over by paper work and currently do not attend any educational facility.

If I'm missing anything I'll make sure to remember next census heh.
