Thanks Fuff24
Substancialicious, yeah the whole arms like broken or something apparently, i needs to fix that
Veny, *ahem*
who always comes in and posts like a bullet list XD
I
really going to start ignoring the outline comments, because apparently the whole "I like this style for my work" isn't good enough, and I'll have to think of a better comeback :p
Yeah the hands I haven't touched yet. I keep meaning to do that, but I always get side tracked with how funky the legs have been looking and trying to play with better perspective and stuff. I've got exactly 178 WIPs in this one li'l folder of just different attempts with the legs and torso (doesn't even have arms) that I haven't been paying much attention to them. I really should get on that.
Every time I add more than "two fingers" I'm swarmed with "going for too much detail". Is there a middle ground XD
Honestly that whole arm on the side view sucks. Though I can name a few big games where it looks like everyone has fins or hands like the Penguin from that Batman Returns movie, you know with Danny DeVito. That's no excuse I know, "Just because everyone else gets away with it", but there's not much to do. Either the hands are ginormous, on the side view, or their flippers
I'll keep going for that one.
Because those are more prominent to the template on the sideview I have been working on those ones, just the front and back ones - haven't touched in months.
I should work on this more than like 4 minutes a month :x
The sideview stomach shouldn't curve inward. This isn't a super hero comic where chest and shoulder proportions are exaggerated and the stomach is super lean to the point of being slightly concave in comparison. If you stand natural, like actually natural, your stomach pushes more outward than in. Men at least, when standing proper (no not "properly straight" - because standing straight is horrible) will have thier stomachs out more, the spine curves that way.
")" is a lot more natural a stance than "7" as an old teacher in that "draw comic book heroes" class my mother signed me up for in 4th grade. Though he drew a triangle, but it looked funny, so just use the 7 :p
If I'm standing with my chest puffed out, my shoulders back, and all trying to appear "bigger" than I am like some animal pushing fur, then yeah - absolutely the stomach would curve inward. If I'm going for dynamic heroic motions, then obviously. But a simple comfortable idle isn't going to have that, and if it does - someone's got back problems.
I suck at clothing so I won't be spriting any anytime soon, but I can if you want link you to another site where someone threw on like a hoodie lol, but that was about it. I think they even used an HK hair set.
The skull is a point I keep ignoring because ... well I don't have a good reason I just keep ignoring it. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll try to show a bit more with that.
As always <3's ya to
