Rust is also suffering from problems where they are using the bleeding-edge Unity features, however Unity aren't fixing bugs related to them, so they're stuck with some nice features that are flawed somehow.
I use Unity as a prototyping platform right now, when I have ideas I use either Unity or Unreal Engine (depending on the kind of idea) to quickly make a mock-up. Right now is probably the best time to get into Unity because the team have finally pulled their fists out of each other's butts and started refactoring the engine (rendering is under-going the treatment, not sure if that's public knowledge though?) and they recently deprecated their old networking system for a much better one.
As much as I hate Unity, I have respect for the people they employed to tidy their shit up. Unity deserves to be good considering its appeal.
In other news; doctor called me today about some blood tests and informed me that I am depleted of Vitamin D...

On my screen the layout is fine (the width, really), but the place where posts are to go is over the slideshow. ><
Positions. I would probably use commenting to remove your slider-wrap div and work on getting your blog portion lined back up and then use positioning to get everything back in order.
Also, slider-wrap isn't 100 of the page width. If you are leaving room on the side, that's cool. It just doesn't feel aligned the right way.

You should always use multiple browsers to see how your site renders. Even so, there should be some CSS and JS script to take care of some basic rendering issues for browsers...
