Post What's on Your Mind

I just took a survey and it was like,
"Which of these websites do you visit" - none
"What games are you playing" - I don't even know what half of these are.
"Do you watch esports?" - is that a real thing?
"What TV channels do you watch" - Shit, I can't say I watch anything anymore.
"What do you like about..." - I don't
"Are you interested in..." - No.
"Smartphone and Apps"- I haven't touch one in years.

Some dick kicked me from a game of Pay Day 2 because he looked at my Steam profile and saw my 6 year old VAC ban.

It really upsets me when this happens. People will see it and start sending me abusive messages and then vote kick me for no reason. Apparently once a cheater, always a cheater, regardless of the circumstances or how long ago it was or the game.

I don't regret anything, I just feel that my punishment should be the fact that I can't access VAC secured servers on the games that I cheated on back then, I don't think my punishment should be that I am free to receive abusive messages on Steam and get kicked out of games over a prejudice.

I know people will disagree with me because everyone hates hackers for no reason, but they are real people too. It's not "good guys versus hackers".

Actually you can't since none of them exist anymore...

Hold up, what? I hope you still have games because a PS4 is in my near future and it's either you or Mega Flare for HBG friend prospects...I think.

I think a VAC ban should always be accessible in some form but not be readily available for anyone to look at. It's not fair that peeps who were stupid teenage cheaters or whatever to be kept from [fair] and fun times years later. Maybe remove the profile notification after a year or two.

I think it is important to keep it visible, it's part of the punishment, but it's just a source of abuse after a while.

I think after 2 years it should become a link to "ban history, showing how many years ago and on what game the VAC ban relates to" which gives more details, but the first 2 years should be the orange "ban(s) on record".

But yeah, no-one thinks about the Steam customers who have a VAC ban so these changes aren't made and aren't high on the priority.

Oh well in that case, you can't because THOSE games really don't exist anymore... like quite literally, all gone... lost them on the HDD that died during a power cut a few weeks back lol, along with hundreds and thousands of other things too

Already got ideas brewing for some new games and even wrote some shit down in notepad just in case I do get back into it, lol

Oh man, oh man...

I was doing a decent job of making a Ghost Shards site in WIX, but after hearing such negative things about it, now I feel regret. I've already tried in Blogger and Wordpress, but I can't get the appearance to look right at all.

*bangs head*

I've had several people ask about the game, so I figured making a site so they could just find the information easily would be a good idea.

Pain in the butt it is.

Without upgrading, Wordpress themes are ugly, and isn't able to showcase something captures the game's spirit. Each Blogger template I find you can't create your own header or adjust things, and it's like the most important things, and...

Gah.
