This isn't nearly as bad as my little brother's Facebook page, but we are definitely seeing signs of Word Flu here. In the book The Word Exchange, there's an online dictionary that's owned by some ridiculous social media megacorp. Evil megacorp starts a game where people submit new words to win prizes, and starts taking old words out of the dictionary, and eventually everyone has to use the online dictionary for everything because everyone is using stupid made-up words. Add some conspiracies, some cybernetic communication devices, and word flu that spreads by talking with infected gibberish-speakers, and you have a great combination thriller and satire.

So I found out the identity of the RMXP battler illustrator. I finally got to see his work in better detail.
He goes by Rasenjin (Spiralman), spirals are a signature feature in his work. He likes to decorate characters in spiral patterns. It's on the most rmxp battlers, but because it's scaled down it's just a blur of colored pixels on most of them.
I wish I had discovered him sooner when I was doing battler requests. He's got so much work I could have referenced. I finally know how the heads should be stylized in side view. And a lot of other things that satisfy my curiosity.
If I had discovered him sooner I probably would have never attempted to make add-on battlers in his style on my own. Because that's what it is; his style. Not something designed for rpg maker. And not something that was intended for people to copy.
I actually ordered one of his artbooks because I respect what he does.

Kinda the same thing. Definitely uninhibited. I mean, I get the urge to share my thoughts and all the stuff that is unrelated to a conversation. General inappropriate stuff, like someone asks for directions and I start sing "Can you tell me how to get to sesame street" and then start talking in third person like Elmo because I thought it was funny and I'm too fucking tired to care about people's opinion of me. And maybe if I annoy them enough, they'll leave me alone so I can sleep.
