Everyone has such....nice towns.
Take a look at this....uh. wonder. the wonder that is my city. A town of rednecks that was once a full of history and wealth.
This is the street that sees the most traffic. I just drive through here on my way to another town for college. Which is much nicer and I'd like to live on campus, but can't afford it. :sad: The issue with being middle class and going to a private university, I guess.

edmonton is a nice-looking city when it tries to be. this picture really doesn't do justice, but it's awesome in the rain.

this is my house. well, on the left, at least. the enormous jet engine belongs to the thai restaraunt underneath.
this is pretty damn deserted, for a street.
this is a cat. it followed me and some friends for a while. we were afraid it would get lost.
I really like the graffiti we get.

the town where i actually live is quite small, but i spend about half my weekdays in a larger town, where i go to high school. it's got about 45 000 people in it. still largely uninteresting but it's the largest city closer than an hour away, so~
my high school. it's actually quite large but mysteriously hidden beyond a veil of various flora...................... (around 1600 people go there)
right across the street from my school is this hospital (chatham-kent health alliance!)
we have various geographical features as well (including a chocolate river)
our religious community is mostly protestant.
and some pictures of a flood that happened last february! some pictures are pretty crazy and they declared a state of emergency for our county. the flood was because mild temperatures make all the snow melt.

also we're getting another two inches of rain tomorrow :toot:

i live outside of charleston, sc
it's pretty nice, it has a lot of ghettos and crack houses in some areas but i guess every metro does. downtown is really old and historic, and it's centered around the college so there's a lot of nightlife and young people around. shopping is pretty high end and it's fun to watch rich people spend money, i guess.

That's one thing about America, you're houses are huge and always seem to be detached.

Time for a little story about my hometown Antwerp:
There's this story about a giant called Antigoon. He went out to look for people during the nights and if he found someone, he threw them in the river nearby: the Schelde.
Ofcourse everyone was afraid to go out. This was the time for our hero Brabo to show himself. He fights againt Antigoon and tmanages to cut his hand off. Antigoon was finally defeated. After cutting off the hand, Brabo threw it away.
Brabo threw the hand far away. And at the place were it landed, antwerpen was built. In dutch antwerpen sounds almost the same as "hand werpen" which means "hand throwing". Cool huh? :p Well the city is really cool too.
And this is the exact story that the cool band Enter Shikari tells in the song 'Antwerpen'. The song kicks ass too!
