Their plan, if you'd actually go and visit their forums, is to create a largely "Merto-specific" Pok?dex, with perhaps a few from Diamond/Pearl. No one region needs every kind of Pok?mon to appear in it.

As for Missingno, it is up to them to decide what type he is. And, since he was a glitch to begin with, it can be said that there is NO "Bird" type Pok?mon in existence - just the Virus-type Missingno.

this is the biggest pokemon fangame ever made with lots of database all put into it. Hope you finish it because it looks like a good fun game. so far pokemon fans should be occupied with Diamond

I am not part of the development team, but I am registered on their web page. They said that it should be realeased in about a week A little while ago.

edit: I was just on the page, they just posted something about something going wrong during the testing or something but they are working to fix it. Soon hopefully!!

Nope, there's definately bird type. If you hack a rom of r/b/y you'll see their is bird type and ??? type. MissingNo. is bird, the ??? is used for those ghosts before they're identified.
Offtopic - If you hack the beta of gold/silver you'll see data for the item honey and rooms in kanto that weren't finished. You can see the kanto safari zone (Probably removed because of glitch city) you can see a mine cart tile set and another game corner game. MissingNo. is even accessable in GSC, 4/256 chance, alot smaller than the 105/256 chance in RBY.

No, The pokemon company could not sue them because they are not making any profit off of this game. If they were to start making a profit, then The pokemon company could sue them. Also, they are using their own storyline, pokemon, and everything. The only thing that is keeping them form making money off this is the title using the word pokemon. My current game I can't sell and make money off of unfortunatly :'( because the Title is Trade marked(see below for title). Same deal. Even though it is their own version it still uses the name Pokemon which has been trademarked, copyrighted, and who knows what else to keep people from making money off of it.

Where did you get the beta version of gold/silver??? Did you download it from somewhere or is it a rom for the VBA, or what??? + how did you hack it. If it for the VBA then I know but if anything else, how???

it only misses 1 thing (maybe it is there, i didnt look at everythin), pre-evolutions/evolutions of already existing pokemon, every real pokemon has some of them :P

Take a better look at the logo and tell me what you see.

Pokemon is a registered trademark, making a game based off Nintendo's and naming it Pokemon will get you into trouble if they care about it.
Or they'll buy it if it gets too good.
