Okay, guys, I have two entries. Is anyone else going to submit something?

Also, would you guys prefer smaller challenges or longer durations?

Sorry Peri. :( I tried to get one done but it just wasn't turning out.

I agree with the smaller challenges thing - I was doing 16x16 tiles and it just looked so empty. I should've just gone with 32x32 or comparable but I've never done this before. :/ At least now I have the experience! ^_^;

Definitely smaller challenges (more basic, too, please, for us beginners out there). If this was easier and I had some time, I would've given it a go. Longer ones can drag on and people tend to lose motivation to finish their projects.

Keep it challenging but give us some freedom. A platformer mockup is a good challenge but did it really have to be scifi, with 10 different 16x16 tiles, a hud, and 2 sprites? You could have stopped at "platformer mockup". Honestly I stopped after making a background and floor tile. My heart wasn't in it.

I don't think changing the duration of the contest will do much. A longer contest will make people procrastinate. If it's shorter people won't find the time.

All right, noted. I will say that one reason the restrictions were so strict was because I don't want to run out of ideas later, but I can offer more freedom in the future.

Also, there were only two entries, so I'm not gonna do voting. It seems kind of pointless with so few entries, and imo they both deserve recognition for completing what was a more arduous challenge than I'd intended, so I'm declaring them joint winners.

Okay, thanks to everyone who pixeled, and hopefully the turnout next week will be better.

Sorry, I'm going senile in my old age. I have no idea how I fucked that up. Sincere apologies, piggman! I am correcting that immediately!

Edit: Okay, I fixed it. Again, I'm really sorry about that!
