It's around 50k polys. I'm not sure if that's too high-poly for my purposes, but some last-gen characters were around 30k, so it's probably fine. Nathan Drake is around one million in
Uncharted 4, I think. Also, I decided to dump the coat to make her design more interesting from behind (after remaking it like four times ugh), so I'll probably save some polys that way.
And these kinds of clothes are relatively easy to make these days! I use a cloth sim program to get those nice folds. It takes some experience to learn how to use well, but it's a hell of a lot easier than learning to sculpt like that.
I changed this for like the ten millionth time. Hopefully this is the last time. :I I kind of miss the coat and might add it back, but the argyle pattern on the sweater is probably the most interesting part of the design besides the tattoo, so I figured it should be visible from behind since you're gonna be staring at her back the whole time.
Notable changes from last time include the sleeve being rolled up to show the tattoo and the sleeves being more detailed and having better folds from behind. I need to do a little bit of touchup in ZBrush for some of the areas that are a bit weird.
