This is thread where you can discuss the Altus RP out of character. If anybody has any questions about the RP then this is a good place to ask!

Is there any backwards country in this thing? I'm thinking of doing a character that recently escaped being a slave, but I need to know what places my character can hail from first of all. All of the countries respresented doesn't seem like the type to use slaves much, black market notwithstanding, so I'm just sorta asking.

Why is it that people know the flier is about Altus, and from Lewis, if he mentioned neither the destination nor his name in the flier itself?

Hibernia is a lot like Europe, which means there's an entire world full of other countries out there. Go ahead and make up another one if you'd like! Just keep the Hibernian continent the way it is. ;o

Neither of these things were mentioned in the ads. Nobody knows about Altus or who Lewis is yet. I'm sorry if I didn't make this clear, did I say they knew somewhere? Anyway, for the time being the characters are compeltely unaware of what this whole thing is about.

Would small blades, 4-5 cm blade length max, be considered hand to hand, as they don't restrict movement, or weapons?

Although I said I was gonna join, I'll have to rescind; just got home from vietnam, and I'll probably be busy fixing shit like plumbing for weeks.

Our firehouse is having a clam bake on Saturday, so I've been helping set up the past couple of nights and haven't been online. Tomorrow I'm planning on staying home to get housework done, so I should be able to fix my character during my breaks. (Sorry, Jbrist! I didn't even realize where I got the last name from. It was the first thing that came to mind for a last name...now I know where it came from... :X) I'm not even going to try joining in the actual RP until probably Monday since we'll be cleaning up on Sunday.

All right, where is everyone headed? It's obvious that bacon's headed toward the city square on King Street, which really shouldn't be the location for an apartment building. When I made my post, I had envisioned my character as heading west on Talbot street, out of the central city and into medium to low end apartments and housing, along with some nearby commercial districts, all of which are far seedier than the central square.
