I hate using Eminem as an example because I don't like his music, but this type of freestyle appeals to me more than the " straight from the dome " stuff.

Yes it is. Big L used a lot of his lyrics from other songs and incorporated it in to that freestyle.

I don't understand that whole " Real Rap " concept tbh. What people don't seem to realize ( not taking a stab at you bromo ) is that rap isn't defined by one specific sound, since it is a genre of music. Take Rock for example. It has like 2 million different sub-genres from Classic Rock to Metalcore. Rap is the same way: Alternative rap ( which most classify as real ), Gangsta Rap ( same as first ), Crunk, Club, Horrorcore, etc.

It seems as though hip hop heads feel like there is only one valid opinion ( I've noticed if you don't like a certain artist that everyone else dick rides, they flame the hell out of you for it ), instead of loving the music for what it's for: Individualism and expression of one's self.
