I have played it and enjoyed it, but to call it the pinnacle of maturity is a major overstatement.

I never stated it was mature, I was stating that it was an actual game, which is what cruelty assumes that the Wii lacks.

To be honest, I agree with him on a level. With some exceptions, games for the Wii are a mess of gimmicky crap. Great, the Wii has motion control. That horse has been beaten to death already and we're not even that far into the next-gen. I've enjoyed some of the games on the Wii but I've enjoyed much more games on the 360 and...wait for it...yes, the PS3, often ridiculed as having no games.

I do somewhat agree, but when you exclude some of the gimmicky stuff, what's on there is great. That said, while I love the 360 as well, it's not perfect. And all the PS3 has is MGS4, and while it's a great game, it's pretty much the only worthwhile exclusive at the moment.

I think I heard somewhere that Jak X was the last Jak game. But I dunno. I did however forget about Ratchet & Clank. So I stand corrected somewhat. However, most of those games that are out, I've tried, and they weren't all that great. Especially Disgaea 3, which is starting to make the series feel real stale.

Yeah, Nintendo screws us Brits up the ass repeatedly. What I've never understood is why they can't just convert an american game to PAL and release it in the UK like a week later. It would relatively easy for Nintendo to pull off and it would give them extra quick profits; which they could then put into translations for our french, dutch and german neighbors, et al.

But no, we have to wait for translations we're never going to use...

But yeah; I return to 'you get used to it'.

Well, its also not as painful as it was in the N64 days. I can now play import games on my Wii, something which I had done because it initially looked as though they weren't going to release Fire Emblem: Goddess of/Radiant Dawn in the EU. Eventually, about 5 months down the line, they sneaked it out, with barely any mention, but meh, I'd finished my NTSC copy by then.

Nintendo are a business. Businesses want to make as much money as they can. Releasing games in the US is obviously a better choice than Europe because there are more japfags and gamers that choose to complete Mario than having a healthy lifestyle. I was in Paris a month or two ago and I think I saw like one game store. Go take a walk, appreciate life and the things around you, maybe treat yourself to an ice cream?

At the end of the day you're getting furious because America seems to be getting a little more out their games. Take a step back and laugh at yourself .... hard

Cruelty, are you sure that's not just gamer nostalgia? Brawl's mechanics and physics have been tweaked, but it has loads more content and makes good use of the Wii's specs. I guess it's a matter of personal opinion, but I personally don't see how Brawl might be worse than Melee.
