BigPurplecow you should try look at some tut's, and use a template or something to start off with.

Wow, you do know that all you did was edit the RTP template to look cartoony? Big Deal!

Anyways, these are OKAY for first sprites. Not great and not a total bomb. Work on the walking up, seriously... And they look really really 'blocky'. Before doing scratch use a template, edit a few and get the feel for it. Other than that keep at it, it might come to you. It didnt for me to well.
