This game is absolutely amazing, and have been playing it nonstop since it came out. I have all the unlockable weapons, including the patriot future assault rifle, i have all the face camos including the big boss zombie, and the disguises including altair...so yeah. I've done it all. If you want the save file I'll post it here if you guys ask ^_^

P.S. If you are having trouble stealthing through Act 4, make sure you use the drum can whenever you can, and use the N.V. on the solid eye to check where the gekkos are looking.

Also I managed to punch out Beauty and used a tranq to finish her off.

Okay, I did all but Screaming Mantis with tranqs, including beast forms. I'd have to say that Octopus was the most annoying. Probably because it was all close-quarters crap and I didn't have my tranq rifle yet. I'm nearly to Screaming Mantis. She wasn't terribly hard when killing her outright, but I have a feeling she'll be a dick and a half with non-lethals. It was actually easier to tranquilize Crying Wolf than it was to lethally take her down.

Does anyone know what the Dolls do?? They say they'd be a "nice present for Sunny", but it's not like I can give them to her. I haven't seen them in her "room", either.

Umm what are you on about, every Metal Gear Solid has been released in Europe.  If they haven't where you live then they won't be.

You get the solar gun if you get all the dolls including the Frog one (you have to tranquilize all the frogs when you're fighting with Rat Pack).

Yes Meryl's buff, she was meant to be since MGS1, she lectures Snake about how as a girl she always kept using the big guns - so that's probably how she can handle them.

Well meryll trained a lot at first sight i was like omg then i though yeah she trained a lot Roy's scene with her was damn good.

it seems we will have a next Metal Gear sometime in the future (Ray peyton said) with maybe Big Boss (personnaly I would prefeer Raiden in a Cyber ninja outfit :P)

This was supposed to be the end of the Solid Snake arc. The next Metal Gear will probably take place in the same universe but have a different storyline (I hope).

I was about to say ... Snake only has like 6mo. - a year left to live, and the war is over. But Big Boss is dead and The Boss and EVA and Liquid/Ocelot and Naomi and Zero and ... Damn, Vamp too ... are all dead, and Raiden has become a "family man" and Meryl's off to presumably settle down too.

So they'd have to either work with the 30-ish years between Snake Eater and MGS1, or start a totally new arc/cast altogether in the same world.

The way I see it, there's an endless source of material to build from even for a prequel.

There was a big war between Big Boss and Zero after all. From what we've seen from Portable Ops, it's recruiting time for Foxhound. That's a whole slew of potential heroes who don't have to be in the Snake mold. Personally I'd like it if they went that way, maybe even use a female protagonist (shock).

The last interview I read with Kojima, he said that, specifically, there are a lot more games that could be made starring Big Boss.

Now, I haven't finished this thing yet, but hot damn - it has resurrected my enthusiasm for this series. I managed to play through the first act without any alerts, but sort of gave up on it in the second one (I wanted to get in on the mounted gun action!!!).

I figure I'll save the no alerts/no kills thing for run two, which I will definately be making.

I'm curious, though, how would you get through the end of act 2 without any kills? Do the Gekkos not count as kills?
