If the PSP2 wasn't being released, I'd be buying 3DS on launch day, but now we have official confirmation, the 3DS can wait until a 3DSi or 3DSi XL comes out or something, lol...

cool shit, let's just hope the platform lets support of programs from like mac/windows and shit, so we can emulate the psp on the psp2 (and later on, emulate the psp2 on the psp2|)

is there backwards compatibility?
is there porting of ps2/1 games on it?

NGP can play everything that the PSP can. Just the downloadable version of PSP games

Looks like they moved the power switch. At least thats an improvement. Can't tell you how many times I accidentally turned off my psp because I was squeezing too hard.
The fact that you have to download everything is a major turn off to me. Sure I could use it with my wireless at my house but not when traveling. The whole 3g 4g network thing is new to me. I've got 3g on my phone that I'm paying extra for an unlimited data plan for. How do you get service on the psp2? It would only be worth paying if you played it all the time. Not that it matters cause in Kansas you only get service near large towns.

wth? GPS, front AND back cameras? Can't I get a system that just plays games?

Anyways, it's been months since I played my psp. I only got a few games for it and half of them were remakes. I'm not the target audience anymore.

you dont download your games... they are on some kind of flash card or something. to play PSP games you have to download them due to lack of UMD drive

you don't have to download everything. ngp games will come on flash cards similar to how the ds works, but you can put dlc on the game cards, and there will probably be a place for micro-sd cards for downloading full games.
