It looks great, but there are 2 things that are bugging me.

1.- When you exit the menu, the caterpillar members on the map appear only when the menu is completely faded out, so it makes it look like they pop up.

2.- The fact that the lights are on when it looks like it is daylight makes it look odd.

Awesome Bro

Hey man so I've just tried this out now, and I've got to say I was really impressed with how it felt, although I'd change the movement speed or something, since the animation speed isn't equal to the movement so it looks as if they're gliding along the floors, lol. And are there by any chance any running sprites you could rip? Since just moving faster but with the same animation looks odd, but if not it really doesn't matter, lol.

Hope to see more of this, next time with those barrels, crates, NPC's and music you've said :)

Thank you, JBrist. I'm flattered. I think I'll have to change the movement speed to make it slightly faster. Sadly, Ragnarok Online doesn't have running sprites, but I'm thinking about commissioning some as soon as I'm finished ripping out the main character sets. It's either that or permanently disabling the dash button, since, as you've pointed out, it looks awkward. Nonetheless, what really matters is that I feel like I'm doing some major improvement. I'll get my laptop back in a few weeks, and as soon as I do, I'll go back to scripting as well.

Thank you! I'm getting inspiration from / ripping out Final Fantasy games, so I will take your comment as a compliment. I'm hoping to be able to release a demo by the end of this year.

In the meantime, I'll be fixing my license board script. I still need to add the following functions: zoom in and out, draw borders around the edges of the board and adjust the width of the confirm window. Other than that, it could also use one big graphical boost. That should entertain me for a couple of weeks.

I see your project is going good :)
I really like the interface, with the 3d and all, it really pushes RMXP to the limits.
But I think you missed one major component in your interface: Atmosphere.
Weather, fog, clouds, screen colour. I think adding these will make your game even more awesome, but you will have to figure how to fit these in the Mode-7 script.

Good luck!

Thank you! I'll have you know I'm using Ccoa's and ForeverZer0's Modified Advanced Weather System. Other elements will come later on.

Well, actually, not to brag, but I think mine's better. :)
For instance, my game has 8-directional movement with multiple frames, lighting effects, and all other sort of nice stuff. I'd make a video, but my PCs still in the shop. It should be back by next week.

After lots of thinking, I finished my list of dual techniques. Oh, yes, the game will now have dual and triple techniques.
So, basically, each character has an element. Bella is Lightning, Flamma is Fire, Alis is Water/Ice, Felis is Wind, Juvo is Earth and Mirus is Death. Don't worry, this will still work with the license board. Both characters will need to purchase a license in order to use a dual technique. I'm thinking it will make character growth more interesting.

Bella, Flamma: Fire Whirl, Fire Sword
Bella, Alis: Aura Whirl, Ice Sword
Bella, Felis: Thunderbolt, Wind Sword
Bella, Juvo: Fulgurite, Earth Sword
Bella, Mirus: Super Volt, Death Sword
Flamma, Alis: Antipode, Antipode 2
Flamma, Felis: Lava Storm, Lava Storm 2
Flamma, Juvo: Magma Slide, Magma Slide 2
Flamma, Mirus: Dark Flare, Dark Flare 2
Alis, Felis: Aura Wind, Hailstorm
Alis, Juvo: Glacier, Double Cure
Alis, Mirus: Deathly Gust, Super Storm
Felis, Juvo: Life Wind, Avalanche
Felis, Mirus: Deathly Gale, Super Squall
Juvo, Mirus: Deathly Quake, Super Shock

I did some work on the license board system today. I fixed the confirm window, so that it now fits the message width. I also added a zoom in, zoom out function..

EDIT: I just noticed the zoom function doesn't work quite well with zooms that make the board image smaller than the screen size (640px x 480px). However, I'm not quite sure how to fix this, or if I even want to fix this. :P
