I made it into the castle and have activated 3 of the 4 holy water things. My problem is that I can't get past the sealed door. Am I right in thinking I need to get through that door to activate the last switch? What do I need to do? I'm sure it has something to do with the history pages and the order I activate those torches in the room with the history books. Am I on the right track?

I hate to sound like an idiot who constantly needs help but trust me, it's not like I haven't tried. I've spent nearly an hour and a half trying to figure it out.

I couldnt do that puzzle either. It made no sense to me at all. I had to look it up too.

Speaking of which, how do you get the chest that's over the jump in the first dungeon? Also, is there any way of opening that door over to the left before the boss fight?

You find a house key later in the dungeon. If you go back to the abandoned house in the Old District of Rellenia you can open it using the key. You can then take the basement passage inside to get the chest that was over the jump.

The door to the left of the boss fight is locked until after the fight. If you choose to reenter the dungeon afterwards though it will be open. This is the only way to get Laurel's strongest weapon in the arc.

Oh, nifty. Cheers for that! n.n

Wow, I left for a while, and when I come back, I see lots of my MotW Userbars on sigs. It's a heartwarming sight.:D

Ok, I quit Arc IV for a while because of the fight with Danika. I have a question before I get back in to it again: Is there a better strategy for the fight than what Sandgolem gave, because I've been doing what he said from about the third time. Now I've gone at least 15 times and need as much help as you can give me.

Though it's really probably similar to sandgolem's. I think a lot of the trouble people have comes from being underleveled. If Laurel has not learned Savior, I'm not sure if people should even attempt that fight unless they are really good at the battles. In the most recent patch of Arc IV, ArtBane added random encounters to the room where the Danika fight is in case people needed to bulk up. If you got the original version, that might not be there and you might want to consider re-downloading it (but holding on to your save file).

As for the fight itself, immobilizing the apparitions of Dican and Torin is critical, especially Torin because his Stun move will leave you a sitting duck. Auburn's Crowd Control can induce paralysis, so use it liberally. Baron's Tranquilizer Shot can also put one of them out. Have Laurel cast Arc Shield every so often to keep the damage down, including on the first turn. If you have Baron's "Stop and Pop" technique, that will do a lot of damage to Danika, especially if you also have Auburn's "Meltdown," which lowers someone's defense. Lethal combination.

But in conclusion, use Laurel to cast Arc Shield and Savior when needed. Immobilize the two illusions (especially Torin) with Crowd Control or Tranquilizer Dart. When that's accomplished, beat the hell out of Danika.

Captain Evander was in his mid-thirties during the battle between Gallia and the rebellion, so add thirty-five years since the end of Gallia....but subtract some because he died before MotW begins...and I'd say he was about 60-65 at the time of his death. If he is still alive, he's well into his 70s.

Also, Plaid, I'd suggest the characters be level 24-25 before taking on Andau and Gabriella. It can be done at lower levels, it's just much more difficult. For the fight itself, I'll say that Silence-inducing spells (Bubba's Waft and Stoic's Hilt Slam) are your best friend. Anyone who wants to give out further advice is welcome to...I'm just at work at the moment and can't type too long. :p

Alright, here's another question.

When you cast the Spell of Rebirth, are you revived as the same age you were when you died, or are you young again?

The same age. On that note, I suppose resurrecting someone who was that old (a human, at least) would be pretty pointless...

But then again, we don't know for sure that he's dead...

Dang... Just I read the background article on masterofthewind.com. I was wondering who it was that Anna Sanora resurrected. If it was Captain Evander, he might just be a little younger due to being resurrected.

I take it we're not supposed to know who Anna resurrected, right?
