Master of the Wind

Master of the Wind (Complete!)

I've finally jumped on the Arc bandwagon and I've got to say that you two definitely have a talent for frustrating the hell out of me; but that just means that your puzzles are doing their job:D Your game is the very first rmxp game that had me swearing at my screen. I swear that the bat/timer puzzles were designed to drive people to violence.

But enough fun, I'm really enjoying your game. Your puzzle and dungeon designs are well-thought out and well-executed. Your battles are challenging but satisfying. You both have wonderful game-making skills and it shows!

All right, here are a couple of my gripes:
- In the area with the mine cart and switches, there are too many random battles, especially if you're trying to follow all the different tracks to figure out which switches to activate.
- Some of the puzzles are not very logical and seem to rely on luck or process of elimination. I'll never understand the number/switch one in the mines. I hate to admit it, but I cheated.
- The relationship between Cade and Emma seems underdeveloped and a little immature. I just felt something was lacking.

Overall, your project is entertaining, stimulating and yes, a bit frustrating. But that's just because I'm not a big puzzle person. I've really enjoyed what I have played so far and I'm looking forward to delving deeper into your story.

Heh, well be sure not to break anything! :D

I'm glad to see you've gotten into it...from the looks of it, it seems like you're in Arc II somewhere, I hope you continue. Especially cause in Arc IV, a frankensprite of yours makes an appearance. Which one? Well, you'll have to find out for yourself. ;)

About Cade and Emma, in some ways they are both immature so I can see how it would come off that way. Cade's been leading her on despite the fact that he really only has lukewarm feelings towards her, and she just is very afraid of confrontation, even a harmless rhetorical one. I will admit that early in MotW, I wasn't entirely sure what I would do with her...and that likely shows. I've figured out her role now, however, and she's got some interesting moments ahead.

Hope you continue to enjoy the games.

Yes there would happen to be angelic. Go do some more random battles and gain a level. It makes a huge difference vs all bosses in the game (one level, that is).

Okay, but I am on 13 and I am still losing to him.

I beat him on my second or third try. It was clearly designed so that you have to take out the visions first. I can't remember what level I was.

I don't know... I usually don't level, go to the bosses underleveled, get my ass kicked, then reload the game and kill them the dumb way, using the most efficient attacks and ethers - lots of ethers.

I don't know if I would consider using the most efficient attacks and items dumb but that is a straightforward strategy to get through most of the battles.

I actually took him out before the visions. I used Shroud's whirrly-thingy technique, and just ganged up on him. That will kill the visions as well; it isn't easy, though. I think Shroud died before the last blow hit too, as that power-up technique the monk used really powered him up.

Im a bit stuck in your game now. In the ice temple puzzle I cant seem to find out how to reach the bottom 2 switches, only the top 2.

Never mind, I have just found it out finally. Figures, that right after I ask... =P

Anyway, woah! That Ice+Lava place kind of shocked me. I had been planning to do the exact same thing in my game for so long. I hope nobody thinks I copied you when I release it.

you shoulda phoenix down'd him. There are thousands out there, and hey're quite cheap.

I don't know if this has been addressed or not, but in the Arc I & II super pack the game freezes when I tried to view a trailer in the "special features" section. Seems you forgot to turn on "Through" with one of the events.
