there was no PC sign so I had to put up the xbox360 one
anyway, can't believe nobodies made a thread about this yet....
Mass Effect 2 is coming out in 9 days!!!
As of right now its shaping up to be one of the most impressive games of 2010,
its actually currently beating Bioshock 2 as most anticipated.
The game features a re-vamped Shepard, who has been reborn in the Lazarus project by the mysterious Cerberus organization,
after the catastrophic run-in that leads to the destruction of the Normandy
Essentially it gives you the ability to tweak your look a bit from the last game, and pick a new class
Mass Effect has what seems to be a fantastic cast, they have Martin Sheen, and, and, Trinity!
Now to the
Features
What seems really fantastic about this game is how they improved everything that was wrong with the first game...
Planetary Exploration
I was appalled by the way this was handled by the first game. you had 5 (6 counting citadel) planets that were mission oriented and detailed, the rest were a watered down open environment, each with the same exact mission structure and environment layout, that you got to drive around in with a car that had shoddy controls, GARRRR. This is actually what got me to quit playing Mass Effect my 2nd time around.
Not so much in Mass Effect 2. So far it seems that each explore planet will have a unique mission and design, ranging from 10 minute minis - to full blown hour long ones.
And they'll all be relevent to the central plot, building up the backstory.
Also the old, cheesy planet scan system is getting a total remake, making it more interactive and interesting.
Combat
The combat is getting revamped also, with the addition of heavy weapons
you don't want to be on the wrong end of this baby
They vary from grenade launchers to full blown nuke launchers,
and even the mega weapon only available to those who pre-order.
The command issuing screen has also been redone. If anybody remembers, pausing the game and wading through sub-options to issue one command was a pain in the arse during the shooter game-play of Mass Effect (in stark contrast to DA Origins which is more tactcal). In 2 the command screen has been streamlined and much of the commands have been shortcuted so that you just point at the big baddie and press t and your biotic will throw him.
one quick flash is all you'll see while you're using it this time around
Armor Customization *NEW*
The picture speaks for itself, you can now pimp your gear...
Bad-Ass button *New*

heh, heh, vent your frustration
And to top it off they added a black guy
