someone pointed out a movie i totally forgot i seen
thirteen, Horrible movie. I would much rather lose all my limbs be struck blind deaf and dumb then watch that movie again

I'll have to contribute and say that The Passion of the Christ was pretty frustrating. Not so much the entire film, since some parts were pretty good, but the whole mentality behind it. Like we can feel for Jesus just by watching him get the living shit beaten out of him for two hours. Then show a clip of the resurrection for about 5 seconds and expect everyone to leave the theater happy. Forgot one thing, Mel.....you have to actually make Jesus sympathetic somehow, not just send soldiers to pwn him.

What makes it worse is the terrible hypocrisy most people showed when talking about this movie. The same people that bitch about violent games or gangsta rap happily took children (I'm not making this up, I know people who did) into one of the flat out bloodiest mainstream movies in history. If anyone else but Jesus had been on that cross it would have been NC-17, plain and simple. Then around Oscar time that year people went crazy because it didn't get a Best Picture nomination. Their reasoning was basically because it was one of the highest grossing movies of the year and people liked it. Wow...okay, guess what. Shrek 2 made even MORE money that year AND got better reviews, but no best picture nomination for the green ogre. Who's outraged on SHREK'S behalf?!

Whew...still bitter, I guess.

I am 100% with you Vovrath. Makes me want to go watch the South Park episode saying something pretty similiar to that.

Hulk was horrible. I never finished that and I probably tried about 5 times. The farthest I ever got was the fight sequence vs. the giant dogs, but that was even boring and made me go to sleep (never even made it through it).

X3 was a horrible disappointment as well. They killed nearly all the good guys and were outmatched by the bad guys and won? I mean, Fraiser was one of the better good guys, and he was just a big blue chimp.

War of the Worlds was another disappointing movie. Even the aliens or whatever weren't scary. There was way too much old fashioned sci-fi, and I like sci-fi to an extent. I mean, did the write have writer's block at the end of the movie? What happened? The alien dudes were kicking ass and all of sudden their tri-pods started acting up because of a virus or something.

yeah i coudln't get past the hulk movie either, there is only a handful of movies i fell asleep on the hulk, everything by Micheal moore, and any harry potter movie

i was trying to tell a friend a couple days/weeks ago, just how crappy war of the worlds is [he's not seen it] and likened it to today after tomorow [which he has seen] in terms of suckiness [so he would understand].

there are way more lame movies out there.....tons......i just wish i knew of a good movie though......american history x is damned good.....

oh and seph...war of the worlds, the movie is based on the book [written ages ago]. i havn't read it, but i'd say that the movie writers couldn't possibly have writers block seeing as thier were no writers :P

I actually think that a movie based on the Orson Wells broadcast "War of the Worlds" would make a good movie. Semi-documentary/semi-fiction kind of thing. Show the panic that the broadcast actually brought.

I think that would have made a WAAYYY better movie than the Tom Cruise version. Blech!

Anything on the Scifi Channel. They MIGHT play a good movie every once in awhile. I remember seeing a movie on there that I could've filmed it in my backyard with a digital camera.

And i'm talking about New Sci-Fi Channel movies. There was this one called Raptor Island (who in the hells idea was it to make 3 of them?!?!), where blood on the raptors was nothing but horribly made brown fireworks. Most of the scenes went like this:
1. Raptor Roaring
2. People running
3. Raptor Roaring
4. People talking pointlessly.

^ and if anyone liked raptor island... I feel bad for you.
