Lame movies

Now everyone knows there are good movies like spider man, snatch, Brave heart, and once upon a time in Mexico
for a few examples.

On the other end of the spectrum there are some Horribly shitty movies.
We have all seen some. just describe how horrible some of those movies are,
I'll go first with The Day After Tomorrow

This movie was super lame, on a scale of 1-10 it is about a 2-3
Nothing happens, it is all science mumbo jumbo so you feel like you get nothing from the movies dialog.
then the storm hits which is the only cool scene in the movie. Lasting a whole 10 minutes before the movie takes place in a small room where the actors aretalking about how cold it is.
I LIVE IN CANADA!!!!
if i wanted to hear people talk about how cold it is i would go downstairs and sit with my parents!

Now the Dad in this movie, he does the epic thing by going after his son in like 300 ft of snow.
his dad is a douche-bag the whole world is dead, you stay inside for a little while, stay warm and then venture out once the temperature changes a bit.

Wait... did i say the world was dead? no no it's not, after the storm goes away, panning further the screen shows people on the roof of their apartment buildings, How in Gods name did they survive, The main characters had to practically light the library they were in on fire to survive.

and then Mexico. The snow storm seems to have abruptly stopped right on the US. Mexico Border. although Texas has seen better days, Mexico is still a big Mardi gras, they were untouched by the whole event that wiped out the world.

2.5/10

Ever seen Peter Jackson's King Kong? While the movie itself was as solid as the original in terms of storyline.. How more boring could you get? And it somehow lasts 3 hours and 7 minutes.. How the hell does that work? It's the most boring piece of garbage I've ever seen. Jack Black's comedic actions were about the only thing that kept it bearable, but if I wanted to see that, I'd watch School of Rock, Shallow Hal, or The Pick of Destiny.

Scary / Date / Epic Movie are all getting to the point they need to be taken around back and shot. Yes, the first couple were ok and had some good lines in them. But Epic move was a waste and I want my money back (the others were all rented... but I still want my money back). The funniest line was "Stifler's MOM..." but other than that, I think it was pretty horrible. I swear, no more scary movies.

OFF-TOPIC - Jack black rules!!!

I went to see Alone in the Dark when it first came out, and was very sorely disappointed. I've seen awful video games-turned-movies, but this one definitely took the cake. I was such a fan of the video games, as old as they were, but this piece of crap did it absolutely no justice. This is what happens when you cast Tara Reid in ANYTHING.

I would say Napoleon Dynamite. I mean, the movie itself wasn't THAT bad, but it was the fans of the movie....it became freakin fad, and seeing like, 20 people walking around my school with "Vote for Pedro" shirts, it got really old, stale, and boring. Kinda like my thoughts on FF7 really.

i totally agree, King kong was a pile of garbage.
i have seen better home made movies on youtube then king kong

I really, really enjoyed Alone in the Dark, actually. I loved the fight in the dark, definitely brought the "Video Game turned Movie" theme alive, which lots of VG2M don't do properly.

Huh... you call THOSE bad movies? The worst movie I've ever seen, and this one is known for its horribleness, has to be Plan 9 from Outer Space. I believe it's an Ed Wood movie. :)

hey... that movie's up there with the original Evil Dead on accidental greatness!

also, too go to the first movie I ever saw that I walked out on - "Super Mario Bros. The Movie"

ha ha, Street fighter was the first movie i walked out on
went directly outside and decided to sneek into ace ventura ha ha

and the pest was crappy too

It's a realistic turn of events. An ice age is very much possible and SCIENCE proves it's happened once before.

I don't think anyone who isn't a dad can comment on this. How can you possibly describe the bond between your son if you don't have any clue how it feels? Not only that, It's in his profession to venture in such temperatures. Did you see the start?

Wait... did i say the world was dead? no no it's not, after the storm goes away, panning further the screen shows people on the roof of their apartment buildings, How in Gods name did they survive, The main characters had to practically light the library they were in on fire to survive.

Maybe they did that too? Then once they heard helicopters they made their way to the roof?

My choice of movie has got to be every single film that stars Will Pharrel ( farrel? Sp? ). The guy is so repulsive as an actor, and he's just not funny! ( In my opinion ) Yet everybody bows down to him like a god. If I was but ugly and acted like a total prat in every day life, would I be a hollywood star too?

But that's not really a CHOICE of movie, that's more a grudge against one particular actor.

My least favourite movie ever is probably SWAT.

It's a poor film and very typical ( Good guys win ). With the high amount of loud noises, guns, over-use of the phrases "God damnit" & "Son of a bitch", Explosions and general action. It's sure to please only one nation of audience, but I won't say which one.

Ace Venture is the Best!

*cough* oops... I am supposed to be talking about the bad ones... Hmm...

Worst movie... *cough*Barney*cough*
I mean...

The worst movie that I have seen, that was so stupid that I hated it, would have to be... *drumroll!*

Herbie Rides again!
The one with Lindsay Lohann in it... It sucked balls!

The other herbies were stupid also, but this one beat them all into the ground!
I walked out in it after that part where the car like freaks out behind the guy, and like all morphes into some weird car-looking thing... (if you have seen it, you will know what I mean...)

Lraft

I could go on forever with some of the crap I've seen over the years, The Matrix Revolutions, Superman III + IV, The Spirits Within, Resident Evil 1 + 2, Hulk, Spider-Man 2 (not that I didn't enjoy it, it's just that it was completely inferior to it's predecessor). Scary Movie 4 (much the same), Million Dollar Baby... need I go on?

EDIT: Actually I will... X-Men 3, total schisse!

i would have refused to see Herbie Rides again
and spirits withn' wasn't a bad movie... it just didn't live up to the FF name
If it was just titled spirits within it would be better

I would like to second this. I worked in a video store when this movie was released on DVD and I, having never seen it before, took it home for free. I seriously considered asking my boss for money back. It was a horrible movie.

As for one that hasn't been mentioned, I would have to say Paycheck. Ben Affleck cannot act! And it has the most anti-climactic ending ever!

Oh yeah, and totally off topic: Bruce Campbell rocks \m/

You, me and dupree!
The funny parts have no funny at all. It's a basic and simple movie.
I was forced to go see that movie with the chicks of my class. NEXT TIME I'LL CHOOSE THE FILM, OH YEAH!

Titanic!
I was astonished to not see it written here. Too bad.

Peter Jackson's King Kong!
God, I prefer to eat bananas like monkeys, instead of watching films about monkeys that fight dinosaurs.

I am going to have to disagree. Titanic was a fairly good movie
and decaprio isn't a bad actor he just got a bad rep from doing all of those sissy roles
But check out his older movies like whats eating gilbert grape or his newer movies like Blood diamond, he's pretty talented.

ha ha never seen it, But According to jim (the sitcom) is like that, I don't think i ever laughed at that show once, It actually makes me puke in my mouth a little

and another pretty shitty movie was Advent children
Now i know you are all going to want to castrate me, But think about it. The voice acting is lame, the jokes in the movie (reno and rude) were not all that funny, the movie was predictable, and just corny

although the animation was awesome
