Klendathu's March [NEW TECH DEMO 01-07-08]

Naw, you won't be able to go underneath the water in that lake. There will be some places you can dive in but not there. That lake is pure show =P.

And I updated it into the worldmap aswell, I think it looks nice.

*cough* As I've been sick as fuck lately and between working and sleeping haven't had much time I'm asking some help on a little matter.

Well I've started working south on the worldmap, and since I want the south to be done in inquisitors tileset I'm trying to figure out what to do with the trees. I do not think inquisitor's trees fit in my setting a lot so I edited it and I made some recolors/edits of the RTP stuff. There is 4 types of trees in this screen, I would love to know which one looks better:

http://home.planet.nl/~Lisker/RPGMaker/ ... /trees.jpg[/img]

the 4 trees are around the char.

-The top left one is a recolor of the trees I've been using all over Aurora forest and klendathu, so I prefer not to keep using this as this will be completely different vegetation.
-The top right one is the RTP tree recolor with the normal stem.
- Bottom left is the same recolor except with inq's stem.
- And the bottom right one is an edit of inq's tree.

Please let me know which one I should use as I have no idea anymore rofl.

As for placement on the world map:

I'm trying to make the vegetation gradually changing into the inquisitor one Any help on that would be wonderful too of course.

Thanks in advance (I Hope I get well soon so I can work on my project again.)

Do not mind the shadows on the trees. In the end they will all use the darker type of shade, cuz it just looks better on Inq's tileset imho.

I'd say go with the RTP trees. They're more consistent with the ones you've used elsewhere on the big map and the darkened colours work well.

...and isn't Klendathu that bug planet in Starship Troopers?

I think it is. I had the song klendathu's drop, that is where I got the name, I have no idea what planet is it rofl.

Oh my I actually took some lines from a movie~ Please go troll somewhere else. If you have nothing constructive to offer, I'd suggest you don't post, nor download, nor play the damn game.

If you're still on the tree dilemma, although Inq's trees are absolutely beautiful they really don't mesh at all with the style of RTP.  If you're gonna use his tiles they work best used all together (and God damn, they're pretty), their detail level and style are completely different.

If you want to get some different vegetation going on try the white-trunked trees from the beach tileset, or the big dark ones from the forest tileset, or use some of the conifers from the mountain tiles, they all mesh really well with the rest of the RTP.

Well it's been a while since I posted an update. But here it is:

I started working on this game again. I got really busy with work and other stuff but I'm still actively working on it. To be able to release a full chapter any time soon I'm working on the capital of Sapientia where some of the events of chapter 1 take place.

This is the map zoomed at 1/4th the size (Mind you this is a W.I.P):

These are the Individual places in-game:

- The Blacksmith shop/Workshop

- The grocery store

-Pub and inn in one building:

Random in game buildings:

The one building crossing to the other island is a Wip, I don't know if I like where it's going but I'll post it as well to get some feedback on it, mind you it's not completely done.

I noticed the priority error and I fixed it, just didn't bother changing that one pic.

So the capital is coming along nicely, as is the story. If you look at the worldmap you have to situate it all the way to the southeast.

Looking lovely; great use of Inq's tileset. Some of the parts seem slightly flat, though; but that's hard to avoid considering much elevations wouldn't make sense in a city.

Actually there will be more elevations. But it's easier to do those kinds of details once the city has been filled with buildings. Then you can like make small elevations between the islands. It will of course not be insane differences but there will be more then there are now. ^^.
