Whoa.Never thought someone can make a futuristic tiles that match well with the RTP.Very talented.How long did you take to make those?

Almost a month, still working on it so it'll probably be a month in a week or so. I'm moving on to the outdoor elements which is harder to do IMO.

however I am having the HARDEST time making the foilage match with the standard RTP and yet retain some of my own style. If anyone has any pointers please disclose!

Ah Kinda forgot this was here, -_-; I am still working on this, just trying to make my previous tileset blend in more with this one, and making some nice Charasets/chipsets to go with it. Mostly done, just working on little odds and ends of extra items. Still need help with doing foliage, so if anyone has a few pointers please PLEASE disclose.

I'm so jealous. I really wish I could display this type of skill in my game. You tilesets have been amazing thus far. I even applaud you for your creativity, because when I'm making my tilesets I can't think of anything to put of them. I don't know how you come up with some of the stuff, but it the results are always something to awe at.

@J-Street Thanks a lot, actually it was looking at your tilesets and others that made me want to try in the first place ^^. As for the creativity, well I get it from dreams and the fact that, for the longest time in my memory scifi-fantasy is one of my fav. genres so my memories are stuffed with plenty of tv shows, animes and books not to mention games that inspire my art and my tilesets and stuff ^^;

I'm a fan of the genre as well. I get most of my ideas from KOTOR II. I usually look at some of the objects and figure that they are out of my spriting level, so resulting I get fairly bare tileset.

Are their any particular sources you get. Ones that I might be able to take reference from?

Not to answer for kiearaphoenix or anything, but I've always found digital art to be particularly inspiring in creating resources.

Hmm I never thought to look also to digital art. But yea that'd be a place to get inspiration from ^^

For me it was or is
TV shows like Stargate, Stawars, Battlestar Galactica, Farscape, Doctor Who...let's not forget that
Anime and Manga like Patlabor, Bubblegum Crisies, Akira (though more darker) Robot Carnival, Gundam (most of them, there is a computer terminal that owes partial inspiration to the interior terminal of Gundam Wing I think, on my tileset)

And the color scheme was kinda pulled from bits of Star Ocean Til the end of time.

And sometimes other people make me want to try harder by things they've done no matter if they think it's trash, to me something that inspires is always gold ~_^

You may want to hold out because I've added the previous tileset (the one I think you are talking about) and fixed it to blend in better with the current one, I also shaded it better and fixed the hues. I'm not as proud of it seeing as it was my first attempt, now I know how to do things correctly so It should be an improvement.
