New screenshots from the first part of Cool Rush Cave. The "slashes" are actually a wisping around effect that circles around Luna, It's only temporary, but used to show buffs, looks a little pixelated due to increase in size by the editor with a 150% zoom.

Hope everyone likes these there will be plenty more once I get the EarthScape Dimension and Velli Isle's Tilesets and maps completed.

Any image code for the bars? This game looks like some GBA game but the sprite qualities are higher, for a near GBA look, you'd have to use RM2K OR 2K/3. Also, I see you have isometric/eight directional movement. That would be fine in a ABS-based game. You've animated your character sprites smoothly thus far. However, why has your game taken so long? I've never seen someone who has'nt completed his game for nine years..

Hello,
Right now it's very hard for me to reply to these types of comments as I am limited on how often I can actually get online to check this for the next few months.

However, Mog, to answer your question as it's the only I've been able to read, I wrote this explanation a few pages back.

It's take 9 years cause of this:
First 4 years - Written and drawn development.
Next year - Spent learning the tools and abilities of the RMXP engine.
2 Years after that - Making Kailis in full, in RTP and RTP edits only.
2 Years after that to this day - Spent revamping the game in Breeze V2 stylization and fully customizing every aspect of the game, as well deciding to release it into episodes, causing me to rewrite the stories more in depth for each section of the game, thus a longer, more enjoyable game. The results are what you are seeing and will continue to see grow and flourish.

Hello everyone,

I've actively been updating the game as I keep going, I might put new screenshots and such up on the topic tomorrow. Anyways Kailis: The Crystal Souls is now known as Kailis: The Ves'Pari Souls.

The main deal is Crystal Souls are now Ves'Pari Souls. Elementra actually has an effect in the game, there are approximately 19 elementra at the moment. We have a lot of new sprites done. The Destiny Soul Crystal is now known as the Ves'Caar Entity. There are a lot of history changes to make the game unique as I've always done in the past, it´s still a building process. As you can see there is a new title to match up with how the game style is. As well the game screen is now larger, it´s to the equivalent of a PSP screen.

I will update more when I get a chance. Enjoy.

Awesome Bro

Hmm, I've gotta' say that "The Crystal Souls" logo looked much better, and I have NO idea how to even pronounce Ves'Pari o.O

However, that said, the new logo still looks pretty good, although I'm not sure why but it reminds me of a Zelda logo o.O

It also didn't fit the graphic style for the game. But it's pronounced Ves-par-ee

As are a lot of things that are sort of a tribute to the 2D zelda days. But I wanted to revert back to the old Kailis tribalistic roots that tied the world together.

I promised a few screenshots, here is the game in action.

Looks nice man, glad to still see you working on this after so long. The 2D action/rpg kind of feel make me want to play this @_@

Though I have to agree that I like the old logo better, I really like the simplicity this new one brings. I definitely think it fits the game itself better, even though it's less eye candy.

I certainly cannot wait to play this game. I've not seen a western RPG I've wanted to play on RM well...ever. It's a nice change from the basic JRPG, and certainly gives that old SNES Zelda feel that is so awesome.

Good luck with finish this :)

Thank you. It has been long winded, but it'll be very nice once completed. Yep exactly how it should feel =D

I know, aesthetically it is more artistic, but this definitely fits the game sooo much better. Thank you. Yea I am trying to break away from that curve that overtakes most RM games. Yep my plans =)

Wow, the screenshots look great! I remember seeing the previous thread once upon a time and you've certainly come a long way. :)

I like the new logo. Not only is it nice to see a logo that's not unnecessarily busy with dozens of effects and filters slapped on to it, but it seems to fit the game pretty well.

This game still looks really sweet.
I have a question about the size of the screen.
Are you using a script for this, if so can I have a link?
I tried a resolution script like this and the game was placed in the very corner of the desktop, and was hard to play. Does this script do that?
Thanks, Numb.

Thank you.

Okay.
I am, but it's been altered to work with my game, so it would be useless to pass out as it is linked by other scripts.

No it doesn't. you can move it anywhere.

Thank you for viewing
