Ahahahahaha i crack myself up sometimes.
So with our shitty lifestyles apparently getting a little bit of exercise is a good thing because since we don't spend hours hunting and scavaging for our next meal we're all starting to get a little FAT. I'm not HORRENDOUSLY overweight or anything but I have packed on a few winter pounds due to sitting inside and doing schoolwork, so i decided to try it.
(Note: I am perfectly aware there are other exercise options available and that wii fit is not THE SINGLE PRODUCT IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND that will help you lose weight, this isn't a thread where you can go "hurr derp durr you bought wii fit just go to a gym you moron" This is a place to discuss the benefits and detriments of wii fit as both a game and exercise tool, I don't care if you want to troll wii fit as being 'less hardcore' or whatever go talk about it somewhere else fuck you fuck you fuck you.)
I've been trying to slip it into my morning schedule and so far it's worked out well - I spend about a half hour on it right when I wake up. I've noticed some slight loss in my weight gain since i started, a couple pounds or so, but then again I don't do much exercise outside of Wii Fit nor have I made any real efforts to alter my eating habits. I expect to keep losing but at a similairly slow pace, which is fine for me. Burning 20 pounds off in 2 weeks makes it easier to gain it back.
What I HAVE noticed are significant improvements in my balance/posture. Before I had minor back aches etc that would come on once in a while due to me slumping over in shitty chairs and owning a super cheap but super horrible mattress, but they've been basically ELIMINATED due to using wii fit's balance and posture-related exercises every day. My family is known for a fucked up back/spine too but I'm beginning to feel like I might be able to avoid some of those problms if I keep using it because the results in this area are GREAT.
As a GAME it's alright, but it's another wii sports/wii play. You're not going to do into the exercises when friends are over but there's a healthy selection of minigames that are both well made and fun to play, especially with a group. I mean the only real problem is that the wii is already LOADED with that style of software so it kind of makes wii fit's actual gaming modes fade into the background. But they'll probably end up being like wii play and wii sports - fun little games you'll laugh and marvel at the first time you play them, and though they lose their luster quick when playing them by yourself they suddenly seem new and fun again when other people are over.
So yeah anybody else other than me have this game? (I suspect not many due to it being super hard to find and lots of this people on this forum not giving a shit about moving their fat filthy bodies)
