If you could have any power what would it be, and why?

I'd have the power to bend time. For just a few reason, one it'd solve many adolecent problems in my life, I'm not talking curfues and shit, more like getting time to spend with the ones I love most, without crappy outside interferances. That and ikt'd be bad ass, the crime fighting and travelling oppurtunites are amazing. I'd deem this to be arguably the best power ever. The possibilites are endless with this one, literally.

The power to be no one... I mean, non recognizable. If you tried to kill me, you wouldn't recognize me. If 'd steal something, you wouldn't recognize me. Even If you've known me for ever, I could make me non recognizable to you.
Time & Space bending are kick-ass powers. Also the most clichè.

I isist, my power rocks.

Nah, I think controlling light and darkness take the cake by default. :x

Being able to talk to my shadow would be pretty cool, come to think of it. Like Evil King Stan.

It wouldn't have any practical uses, but there are benefits to always having a buddy around.

Of course, if we had a fight, we'd have to put up with each other anyway. :x

If everybody had time control we'd be stuck inthe same time forever. Everyone would keep rewinding time till they get the stuff they want, then someone else would rewind time taking it away.

Not necessarily. Time control depends on subjective time -- time as you see it. You don't control time itself -- you only control where your position is in time. Time keeps flowing forward, no matter where you happen to be in it. If the person standing next to you were to go back in time, you wouldn't notice a thing -- although that person would be travelling backwards through time, time itself would not shift. Though to him things would seem to be rewinding, that's just because he himself would be going backwards.

Let me put it this way: when you drive down a road, are you moving the road itself, or are you just changing your position?

Of course, this is purely hypothetical. : P

Action>Reaction, what if the person next to you was there that day because of something you did. Then by going back in time and changing something could alter a good portion of the future you had. If you get into a car crash on that non-moving road, go back in time, and prevent the crash then time didnt go forward like it had been.

Time itself would keep chugging forward, no matter how our situations changed or who went where in time. We can't affect the fourth dimension like we can affect the first three. We can perceive it, sure, but we're just moving through it in one direction. Being able to speed up, slow down, or pull a 180 wouldn't let us twist or block off the highway.

Er, you're breakin' my metaphor. Stoppit. >:0

You can make different things happen, sure, but that doesn't affect time. Time's still going to the same place (er, bad choice of words,) and pulling us all along at the same speed.

Ok I thinkwere thinking differently. I am not saying time will stop. I am saying with all the people turning back, then (thru the fourth demension) it will look as thow it keeps looping until everybody with that ability is satisfied. GOSH.

Only to the people who are doing the moving.

Suppose someone didn't do any time travel. Time would be perfectly normal for them.

Although things would keep changing.

('course, he wouldn't remember anything had been any other way)

: P

No, Miek, seriously. If you've ever witnessed somebody perform Shun-Po at high speeds, it's almost entrancing watching them. Imagine being able to do that at Mind-Blowing speeds .

If I were to have a practical power though, I'd wanna have the power to turn on or off the ability to hear a woman's thoughts. Because, you know, sometimes you find yourself wondering why there's a teenage girl trying to get your attention ... Physically ... Maybe I should talk to Dr. Ven bout that ...

Lullz, it's got nothing to do with time travel. Shun-po is a high speed movement of the feet that enables the user to move at incredible speeds and perform intense acrobatic manouvers. Only drawback is that it's extremely tiring, and if overused in a fight, could drain you of your energy, rendering you a sitting duck. However, when used properly in short bursts, gives the user a great high speed manouverability aspect over his/her opponent. This technique can be learned in Some Ninjitsu classes and some Shao-Lin classes as well.

It's my ultimate dream to master this technique, but I can't move my feet fast enough. And everytime I face someone with the ability, I get whooped up bad.

Oh, wait, you're just two pages late. :x

Personally, I could care less who can do what sort of martial art how well, because the medium is too full of pretentious goons nowadays to be considered much of an art form anymore (unless you put in the time to do anything particularly spectacular.) Since most people wandering the streets nowadays aren't going to bust out on you like Wong Fei-Hung anyway, all I really care about is being able to hold your own.

I typed that before my computer freaked out on me. It's not appropriate anymore in the context of what you've said, but I don't like letting words go to waste. :x

So, basically, super agility, then. : P

Yep, yep, pretty much. Super Agility. But reading women's minds would be pretty tight too, though. Ya' gotta admit.

[Offtopic] You're right, though. In today's martial arts world there are alot of stuck up Elitists Fags, Who can't even really fight, their just there to say, "Hey, look at me, I know a little bit of Kung Fu and I'm going to act like a little Shit about it." But, of course, taking down these goons during tournaments is a reward in its self.

The reason I started Ninjitsu, was because, I got jumped coming home on the last Day of 7th grade, and I broke my left arm, and a rib, and fractured my ankle. My dad, was tired of me getting picked on, so He sent me to Class, and I really liked it. Now I can take a beating and actually savor it like some sort of sweet dish. Lullz. Long live the Art of Martial Arts. Curse, the social aspect. /Offtopic
