I am a lady toooo!

O-mie likes....ruffley skirts that go above the knee, leggings or pantyhose, booooots~! Hoodies, high heels~ bows~ super long scarves, and thigh-high socks. And dresses. It's funny, since I used to not care about what I wore growing up, and only about 2 years ago or so did I really start caring about trying to be 'cute'. I still struggle a little with makeup sometimes, though. D: I usually just wear mascara and eyeliner and concealer for my nocturnal under-eyes, but I don't know the right stuff to use under the eyes, and sometimes it looks jaundiced or something. >_< But, I am also really fair complexion.

I want to know how to put on foundation, but I'm scared to, for fear I'll break out. Everytime in the past that I tried to put some on though, it was verrry obvious I was wearing it, and it was nasty to lean my head on my friend, and leave a faceprint on her shirt. D:

high-five, big scarf buddy :girl:

as for the concealer - i don't usually wear it, but when i've got a major case of darkeyes going after a few days of being sleepless i just use bare minerals powder foundation. i've never had a problem with it rubbing off, or breaking out my skin.

just look extra carefully and make sure it matches your skintone, or else it'll look like you have two different colors of skin. if you're have trouble matching it up, you might have to just crack it open and try it out in the store. i've had to do that before :x

I don't wear makeup, go shopping only when my clothes wear out, and wear mainly t-shirts I get from events and jeans or cargo pants.

I'm not very good at being a girl, I guess!

pff as long as you're happy w/ it it doesn't matter what you wear, you still rock it

also

wanna buy the hell out of this bag but it's $280 on sale rraagghh

and hahaha at these descriptions, i love modcloth but it's so cheesy:

The ageless glamour of scarlet-lacquered lips. The undeniable allure of curved black liner in the shape of a sexy cat eye. The perpetually posh little black dress. There are some things that will simply never go out of style, and this beautiful bag by Me Char is undoubtedly on that luxe list. The dazzling details of this supple, soft grey leather piece - the chic brass chain strap, a tantalizing twist lock closure, a lovely lined interior, and awe-inspiring amber leather trim - make it apparent that this bag possesses fashion finesse. Whether you're in a classic khaki trench and polished pumps, or a modern mini dress and patent platforms, the simple addition of this singular sensation will ensure that your style is superlative.

i know I make my own stuff but honestly you should try to make your own stuff as well. I crochet but you can also sew your stuff as well. You can buy fabric relatively cheap depending on where you go and if you put some time in it you can make about anything that bag included.

Doing this stuff takes time but as long as you are precise its relatively easy. I thought crocheting was going to be like super difficult but it only took me a few day to get the basics and once you get the basics its super smooth sailing. I bring my stuff to school and just do it there in classes sometimes and I still can pay attention because its the same process over and over again. Sewing isn't the same thing but if you have a sewing machine and stuff you can make some crazy stuff at about 1/4 the price. I mean I can buy a totoro hat and matching gloves for around 40$ online or I can go to the store and buy yarn which is around 3$ a piece and one yarn should cover a hat and gloves. It just takes time. o;

Haha, I wish I had the time to make my own stuff, but I do too many things as it is. >< Modcloth has yummy clothes, but I have yet to buy anything there. That bag is way cute, but I would never buy a purse that expensive xD...Mind you, I have a 200+$ purse, but it was a gift from my mom. D: If it'd been up to me, it'd be like a 5$ purse LOL. I'm stingy with some things.

One thing I'm having the hardest trouble finding is a nice, cute dress for spring/summer in a kind of buttercream yellow. I either find neon banana yellow or it's a super expensive formal dress. >< /weep

Sewing is one of those hobbies that I've always wanted to take up, especially for the purpose of making my own clothes. It just seems so fun, designing your own stuff. Unfortunately I'm the "oh nooo what if I fail I better not try it" type so I've never really done anything about it :/. I just might here pretty soon, though! Thanks Bacon.

as far as modcloth clothing goes, it's another victim of the Super Cute Clothes = Lackluster to Bad Quality thing that happens a lot. i don't mind handwashing though, so it doesn't really affect me. most of their stuff is so nice and vintage you'd have troubles finding something similar anywhere else, so it's way worth it imo

I only wear slip-on shoes (a.k.a. loafers or moccasins), leather or cloth. I absolutely hate shoe laces.

This. I stopped tying shoes about 8 years ago... about the time I gave up running in non-survival / police related situations. I only wear either my pair of fuzzy black DC slip ons, Sanuks, or moccasins.

Also, I've never figured out how to use a sewing machine. I just do all my sewin' by hand, and fight through awful cramps and pin pricks.

I used to sew as a hobby when I was little, but I haven't in ages now. I actually learned how to use a sewing machine a year or two ago and found it remarkably similar to using a bandsaw.

Indeed. Also just as easy for it all to go wrong (snapping the blade, breaking the thread, mangling your outfit into an obscure design fit for a fashion show)

my friend I've had since highschool is quite a seamstress, she really knows her way around a sewing machine. she mostly started so she could do niche cosplay outfits for comiccon (yes she is a dork) but then learned how to do like ballgowns and shit.

i used to sew clothes for my stuffed animals when i was a kid and would get really elaborate with them but i never had a sewing machine. anyway my hands always hurt too much now to do anything like that :(

as a teen i liked to make permanent marker murals out of my shoes :)
