In the beginning, there was Nothing. All that existed was a single grain of sand, and a being I refer to as the Bassist. Now, the Bassist had plans for this grain of sand. Using the power of soul, this Bassist inspired the single grain to sand to divide. As the number of grains of sand grew exponentially, the Bassist set the second phase of His plan into motion -- striking a chord on His sacred cello, He caused those grains of sand to grow and spread out in all directions, until the vast expanse was dotted with giant orbs of rock, each slowly falling into a steady rotation around larger orbs of rock. This was all rather disorderly, and the universe was still a damn lonely place, so the Bassist again began to play, strumming out the strong and subtle bassline to Genesis.
These notes caused changes in the environment surrounding them. Gouts of flame appeared where nothing had been before, and decided to stick around. The beginnings of life began to form on certain rocky spheres, while others remained barren and mostly uninteresting. The spheres took to rotating around the fiery balls, which themselves took to rotating around a force much greater -- hungry pinpoints of Nothingness which still dotted the universe, left unperturbed by the Bassist's noble efforts.
The Bassist looked upon His creation and saw that it was good.
On the seventh day, He tuned.
Then the Bassist simply disappeared. What happened to Him, no one could say for sure.
However, there exist other worlds than this, other universes which mind their own business, for the most part unaware of our presence. There are planes, however, filled with darkness and fire, which seek to expand their influence across the multiverse.
To this end, the Bassist created the Bluesmen.
The Bluesmen are those who have the potential to great power within them. Once a Bluesman fully realizes his or her capabilities, it is possible to subvert the laws of physics, gain insight into the minds of Man and Beast, and perform great wonders through the unity of mind and soul. Many Bluesmen fail to heed the call of their blood, however, and the Dark Forces are spreading. If this is allowed to continue, the world as we know it might soon be no more...
Am I a Bluesman? I can't tell, but I'll drop strong hints to the affirmative at every opportunity. How did I come upon this great wisdom? It just makes sense to me, and makes me feel happy about myself. Are you special like I am? Do you have a greater purpose than everyone else who's shunned you, put you down, and made you feel socially awkward? Do you want to live life just like in those RPGs we love so much?
Then come with me, brethren, and join me in the movement I simply call "Miekism," after its greatest prophet, founder, and visionary -- me! Together, we will discuss my view of the world and what exactly makes it (and by extension myself) so awesome. The time is now!
