Looks better man, the hair on his forehead (middle) just needs a taaad more work because the shape is a bit messy.
Like you could not decide which way to go :), here are some options i conjured up for this part.

For the hair, the light hits somewhere from the top left, so just use the shading on that side to round out the head mainly, always try to avoid pillow shading, you can see what i mean by looking at the example heads.

For gloves and such a straight line across (like you made) is good because the wrist of the template is so thin there's no way to draw a curve line, what you do here -sometimes- is stick a lighter shade (or two or three depending on the length) in the center area of the line to soften it, this also creates the illusion of curving a bit.
Think of this a lot when working on smaller sprites, try to create some magic using light and dark shading tricks :D

Thanks :), and yep 32 is the magic number, just check out Atemu's Yugioh game using the old Tyke 2 ^^
I removed all the others a while back, i will create a zip file containing them all soon though.

This is one of my favourite templates out there, I like that everything seems in proportion. It looks somewhat monkey-ish when naked, but that's a moot point since these will be clothed and the whole point of being monkey-ish is to emphasise the joints I guess.

Also something that strikes me straight away is the lack of anime eyes (which is a good thing) :)

:biggrin: Yeah I see what you mean and I will work on it and I have to say the third bang idea you made is what I kind of was going for. XD But failed at doing it, and I hoped the glove was good :/ Because every other time I did a glove they looked like crap. But what you said about how you can see the wrist points on the template. somehow helped me. And how is my shading on the clothing. I tried to make the collar sort of pop up if you get what I mean.

Thanks again for the advice and template(s) ((although this is definitely my favorite by far. Even more so than that one post of betaman or w/e it was called.)) I look forward to using these in a game :D.

I see what you mean about the collar too, you should be able to show it off more on the side frames.

The hind leg for the second frame might look strange to some (because of hand in front) but it's fine for the placing of the hind foot, here's an earlier picture of the male without arms to show that.
Could also help when creating clothing.

E-A small edit coming for the male.
The edit is for the side frame hands, for male and female, have to raise wrist mark on standing frame by one pixel and i still have to test the rest, will upload edit later.
That's what happens when you work on something for so long hah

I return lol :/ had to re install windows. :D The template is released yay! I will have to start working on my character asap. (right now I think I am going to sleep its fairly late.)
 
Made a mistake and added two males, fixed.
I'm going to try working on some other body type as well, besides obese.

Agreed, i don't want to re edit the post for this since you guys can recolor it though, here's the shade i used for that lighting.

That arm drawn lower is for holding a gun or sword, not supposed to be on hip.

The template and the pose, and i would like to tell you that a admire you because you have time to teach us stuff, you are very different than others spriters...

Good job man :thumb: , you only had about three pixels you did not need, then all you needed to do was define the hair a bit more as i think you used to much light shading on the outer outline, keep it up man.
For the green pixel mark spot all i did was use one of the lighter shades because it made that bang at the bottom look/run smoother.. if that makes any sense lol
But it was fine the way you had it though, just a little quirk of mine.

Also, I think it looks very weird how his right arm is darker, it worked for the normal template but in here it looks akward.

I was thinking of poses only and it never occurred to me to try diagonal :cheers:, i will definitely give it a shot very soon now but i want to improve my pose making a bit first, have not tried creating poses since the original Tyke (and those where just okay) so i'm still pretty new to it.
Templates.. the only thing i always completed in here :D, let's see if i can take this one to the next level though.

Here's an improved look to this :thumb:, i also added another look for the arm, if no more probs i'll add to top soon.
