Giving the Bush attribute to a tile in VX.

Hey, I was just wondering how to I give part of the tileset the brush attribute in VX? Like long grass or shallow water? It seemed way easier to do in XP. Its been a while since I fooled with RPG Maker, maybe I am just overlooking something increably easy? I hope not.

Ok well I found that it indeed isn't easy at all, or at least not to me. The main VX site explains in the Materials section how to do it. Here is the site: http://tkool.jp/products/rpgvx/eng/material.html . Now, if anyone understands their explanation for it, please do me a favor and post the "for dummies" version.

You can't....
Basically, this feature, as well as any other feature, is 'hard-coded' into VX and is only given to particular tiles.
For exemple, only the 2nd and 5th tiles of the 3rd to 6th row gives the bush effect. They are the middle autotiles of each A blocks in the TileA2 file.

Studying RGSS2 a litlle further, I discovered the Sprite class has a couple properties related to the bush effect (bush_depth and bush_opacity). Perhaps there is something to do with it... but we are entering scripting domain...

Oh I see, I will mess around with it. I was able to give the tile the bush attribute when I made my own tileset and named it TileA2, but then I can't use the trees. TileE doesn't work the same as A tiles. VX is very limiting when it comes to tiles compared to XP. Maybe if we try giving the bush attribute to E tiles?
