Getting jumped at school...

I've homeschooled for the past four years, so when I got back into public school last september you can bet I was more than mildly surprised at how bad the situation was. Even though our town is small and in the middle of nowhere, apparantly it also accepts anybody, because there are 16 year olds in 7th grade and kids smoking dope in the hallways during lunch.

But get this: there also kids at school who get away with knifing other people, or even jumping them after or during school. Just yesterday a boy in sixth grade was stabbed in the abdomen and has been put in the Intensive Care unit. One kid was thrown to the ground and beaten until he was bloody just for saying "watch your language" to a gangster who was too lazy to go around him.

For months now, I've been getting jumped, on average, two or three times a week. Some times I can't get away and have to fight. Some times I lose. The rest of the time I win. After all of this, I still don't know why people want to fight me. For the past three weeks I've had to beat on guys DAILY. They keep coming back. Was it something I said?

I fear for my life. One guy died last year because he was stabbed in the back during lunch. I have tried everything, from contacting the police, to urging the school-board to do something, to threatening to contact the media. Nothing works. Every time they just say "We'll make sure to do something about it," or "We've got it under control."

The next day I went to school and there were 5 gangsters lined up around one kid and one pulled out a gun and shot his leg and the guys ran off! They looked at me and gave me a snare because I was a witness and then I ran for my life to my house, luckily they were to much in shock to go after me. When I got home I told my mom about the story.

When I came home I was visibly shaken. I told my mom what I had just seen. Then she got really scared and said, “You’re moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air!â€

Hmm, well that's a sad story, but I really don't see a need for this topic? Unless you're asking other members if they've been jumped also. If that's the case, then yes, I have been jumped before.

Being 'Jumped' is not too bad if you know how to block and can manage to fight off a few guys. I've been jumped maybe 2-3 times in my life. Yeah, not so serious, and they weren't serious either. I managed to get away most of the time, but no biggie.

Oh blah. Well, I guess I'll leave it open since there's not really any "Have you ever been jumped" thread. But I will get you next time! ;)

I actually thought you were serious, you bastard. I've only ever been in two fights. Both of which I will claim victory only because none of you were there to say anything different. And if you were. I want a rematch .

I've only been jumped once.
I'm a pacifist. As in, like, complete pacifist. I won't hurt people, even in self-defence. And if I do, I feel really terrible about it.
...
Yeah, things didn't go so well.

Never been jumped, even though I constantly put myself in situations where I would get "jumped". :P

By the way, thanks for making me feel sorry for nothing!

I've gotten jumped several times.
My favorite story of being jumped includes my mugging by a brick wall when in the fourth grade I was in a fight and suddenly 5 kids were around me and the school wall smashed into my face like it owned the place or some shit.
The fight temporarily stopped when a kid asked "Hey did his tooth just fall out?".  We walked over (yes including me) looked down, I noticed only most of the tooth was gone - not all of it - and turned around to the kid I was fighting and decked him in the nose.

I've never been jumped because I'm well known (don't ask why) the closest I've been to being jumped is when this idiot started a fight against me and al of a sudden all of his friends were about to join in O_o

Thank my friends managed to stop it all -_-'

Actually there will always (ALWAYS) be someone who will try and break your connections (relationships) with other people most of the time they are just jealous. They could go about it any way they want, but this one decided to try and beat the living daylights out of me.

O_O wow I made a lot of mistakes in the previous post

oh goodness your so well known!  i wanna be just like you...so i dont get jumped :(

no, ive never been jumped.  why?  im well known.  yep.

 I don't know if you were making fun of me or just being retarded but reading that made me laugh xD

If you really wanna know why I'm so well known around the school just ask there's no need to be sarcastic

I was very well known in my schools.
In the elementary school I was pretty well known mainly because I was the little rebel who lead a revolt against home work in the third grade.

In Junior High I was the weird enigmatic new kid for two or three different schools, and was known simply for having long hair.
Okay so that's not really being tight with anyone, that's more being known.

In high school, I was extremely well liked.  I hung out with everyone.  At present, if you talked about social high school cliques, I'd call it a stereotype of television as I've never experienced the "group A here, group B there" thing.
Yet I was constantly jumped in high school by people I didn't know.  Cause the school was huge, and even I couldn't know everyone XD

It's 'cause he's solid muscle and scores with all the ladies. :thumb:

You know, I thought you were being serious with that post, and I was getting pretty depressed thinking about it. When things turned into the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, I was left with a feeling that I'd just had a mean joke pulled on me. Seriously, don't do that!

I've come close to being jumped a few times. I'm generally pretty good at talking myself out of those problems, though. I'm pretty sure that I could defend myself against one or two people, but it's not a situation I'd want to be in anyway.

Because I was always like six inches taller than everybody else till mid-high school, people didn't actually mess with me all that often.  When I was really young, in fact, I made it a hobby of mine to stand up against all the bullies who would kick on the losers - I was a bully of bullies.

I suppose I took it too far a couple of times though.  I remember when I was in GRADE FOUR I got quadruple teamed by a bunch of girls that didn't like how I had kept ruining their fun.  They got me pretty badly.  I ended up stalking all four of them for nine months, catching each of them alone, and beating on them until they all lost their front teeth.

Almost got expelled for that one.  :x  Ended up getting 2 weeks of suspension and community service to do.

You should have been expelled for that, it makes you sound like a real jerk and a psychotic stalker, I honestly don't know how you could post that and not be ashamed.
I'm not sure what you should be more embarassed about, that as a big tough "Bully of bullies" you were beat up by four girls or that you stalked and attacked them, that's pathetic.

And to stay on topic:

No, never been jumped, always been bigger than everyone, 6'4" now and played on the rugby team since I was kid, always been big and always been in good shape, on top of that being on one of the best performing teams in the school means no one wants to jump you.
I've been in two fights during school and both were broken up before anything could happen.

Miek,

I work in a rough city and I could tell you the story is as implausible as all hell.  Yes cities are violent, especially one in dire straits such as the the one I work for, but only an outrageously incompetent school administrator would allow the system to lose this kind of control over the hallways.  After any violent inident involving any kind of weapon you can rest assured that even the most retarded of administrators would have the school on lockdown for at least a month.  Why another incident like that and the Superintendent and the School committee will tell the administrators of the school to begin freshening up their resume because they won't be invited back.  There havds would be tied, too.  Think of the community blowback on a school that allowed two consecutive instances of violence within its walls that involved deadly weapons.  You can't sweep that kind of shit under the rug and someone will be made to take the fall for it.

GET INTO MORE FIGHTS!!!

Well if it makes you feel better I've been in plenty of fights in martial arts tournaments.
If we count those I'd be willing to bet I've been in more fights than anyone here.
