Story
The heart is a very powerful force, it was not supposed to be experimented with. Over the years, the organization named Genesis has tested many hearts for a quality they call Pureness. After hundreds of experiments they found out that only a few hearts contained Pureness. Their last experiment was very close though. It was a young boy named Youra. Something very strange happened when they finished the test. A gate appeared. But, alas, once they had it opened, it disappeared.

After further research, Genesis discovered that the gate was a Gate to the realm of light. In other words, the Gate to Heaven.

Now, in America where Youra lived, his brother Avo, searches for why his younger brother disappeared.

Biography: Avo Kurosa, a high school student, has been searching for information about his brother as much as he could.

Genesis Hearts is a work in progress. One part was inspired by Kingdom Hearts and that was the Gate to Light, its the opposite of the Door To Darkness. The setting is in the near future like the year 2023

The story reminds me of Kingdom Hearts, but that's just me. However, it does sound interesting.

The story sounds very much like Kingdom Hearts as Rye said it also reminds me of Tales of Symphonia aswell cause how Lloyds mum seemed to be the purest to create the EX-Spheres etc etc :D

You still need more details..unless you are only just starting out!

I suggest thinking up MUCH more before posting a thread. We still barely know what the game is about. "A boy who searches for his brother in Japan" doesn't sound very interesting really.

And what I've gathered about you doesn't promise me quality either. You need to prove yourself.

That's a bit presumptuous. Many great stories start of with much less. Actually I think that it's more interesting and inviting than a good majority of games on here. Dense is not the new good.

Ravoa- Your story is concise, I'm interested to see where you plan to go with it. Hopefully you continue elaborating on it.

You're entitled to your opinion but that's very unfair. No one on this forum needs to prove themselves to anyone but themselves.

Ravoa, you wanted the thread deleted but you know what? Don't quit because of some comments that may not be favorable. Keep going, I think you can do a lot with this.

Lene, you may not look around basic topic projects as much as I do, and I stopped commenting on most topics, but really, people think they're all that with their games while they're practically nothing. I do not support that. Look at the popular project threads, they're well organised and started out with so much more. If you're posting a project, you need to feel good about it's content, you need to have content. If you're not quite happy with how certain things turned out, we have support forums and analysis forums.

Though I'll admit I haven't been mr. nice guy here, people also need to be able to take negative feeback, of course they can choose to ignore my opinion, but I'd much rather have Ravoa to prove me that I'm wrong about how I see his project than have him delete this thread because "the people are so mean here".

Like I said TCoFA, you're entitled to that opinion. I am entitled to disagree with it.

I agree with you, people who post their concepts for games should be able to take the good and the bad. That's what I said in my first reply in this thread, and that is why I am asking Ravora to reconsider wanted to get this thread delete. If you still want it deleted Ravora pm me, but I hope you'd reconsider. All you have to do is build up your content. That's what the New Projects subforum is for.

Anyway, here's a simple guide for you.

If you live in Japan, or have visited Japan, or grew up in a Japanese family and are familiar with the culture, go for it.

If you're setting your story in Japan because you think Japan is the best country because FF7 and Naruto came from there, stop.
