It'd be fixed eventually, but if the player is just starting up and finds out that his starter pokemon can't possibly take any damage, he's gonna lose interest.

is Fight - Dark - Psychic
and even that is not good because Fight is super effective against normal O.o
best idea is to just stick with Fire - Water - Grass

Geodude/Starly/Machop
Starly>Pidgey because Pidgey sucks cocks.
But with that trio Machop and Geodude would rape due to Machop hitting Normal super effectively and Geodude resisting Normal.
But uh...
Shinx/Spheal/Trapinch is my favorite combination I've ever seen, they're all badass. Just change when they evolve to something different, considering Spheal doesn't evolve till like the high 30's.
And Shinx can be Mareep is you want. Luxray>Ampharos, though.
Shinx Spheal Trapinch is the same type combo I used in the first place, Electric Water Ground. Electric can't even affect ground, so it's null.
Location: Trainers School, Whiteport City (I know so cliché, right? Trainers school.)
Type: Normal
Trainers Levels: 5-9
Gym Leader: Clarissa
Pokemon: Whismur lv8, Zangoose lv10

One tiny thing is, traditionally female trainers use cute pokemon, so Zangoose looks out of place. But it's really your choice if to keep to the old games with this.
Secondly, gym leader's name usually hint to their type: Norman-Normal type, Morty-ghost type, etc. It Doesn't have to sound like Normal, but hint it, like Morty comes from Latin word mortis(death) and also sounds like mortal. Whiteport and Clarissa (from 'clear' I suppose?) don't seem to be enough, I thought Whitney was also a bad name for normal type, as the relation isn't very clear.
and is there any reason it has to stay that waytraditionally female trainers use cute pokemon
Er...yes! Yeah! Totally agreed to this! ;DBoon":38uxhj46 said:Guy who works on the regions computer? He's called "Devvy" (Dadevster ;3)
White for normal, since it's such a mundane, boring colour? (technically white's not even a colour but WHATEVER)Boon":38uxhj46 said:Clarissa is just a plain old name. Whitney for White?
Exactly. Who says Pokemon has this strict formula that has to be followed? Why not change it up a bit? Make a really tomboyish female gym leader or something.mawk":38uxhj46 said:and is there any reason it has to stay that waytraditionally female trainers use cute pokemon
