okage was fucking horrible but it's one of the few jrpg's (heck one of the few games in existence) that's finger bleeding awful to play but is saved by a charming narrative.

i think there was talk about timesplitters 2 being re-released for cheap on the current generation of consoles to coincide with TS4. that would be awesome. it don't need any different graphics or anything, just online multiplayer. just as a backup, in case ts4 takes a shit.

me and my friend used to play rock-paper-scissors and who ever lost had to play that game so the other one could go to sleep, that's how boooring it was.

Parasite Eve 3

your wish is my command

I think it would be sweet to see another Golden Sun made. I loved that game because it was fun, yet simplistc. The Djinn/class system was awsome too. I used to stay up all night just laying in my bed on a school night, playing that. The graphics were not half bad either considering it was a gameboy game. But if Camelot decides to make another one, it should be for DS or something, and not a 360, playstation, etc.
If they did that, I think it would just ruin a classic game.

I wanna see a second dead rising. But i want it in a town. It would be fun to see a guy hiding from zombies in a port o potty.

You all are ignorant orcs with no taste for fine gaming. Tarry before we engage in other high minded activities you have no sense for.

Okage was boring.

Character design was interesting, though, so I stuck through just because there's a monster named "Bad Poetry Golem."

Okage, yes, is not for people easily bored who need their hand held through an entire game and such.

The game is hard, and relentlessly old-school.

However, with a sequel they could improve the combat and dungeons for all the younger kids who need limit breaks and shit, which is why I suggested it.

Despite that, the plot is a humorous deconstructionist take on the usual RPG storyline, with witty dialogue and comedic black humor similar to that found in Portal. Not to mention the art and music is superb. Okage wasn't a bad game, it was just an RPG that put an emphasis on storyline over gameplay (which, if you listen to all the bitching most RPG gamers go on about would make this game the fucking holy grail of RPGs.)

Not as many as you think? Gameplay is just as important as story. The fact that I expect a little more than "mash the A button" in a battle system doesn't make me a philistine.

Fuck remakes

Fuck sequels

Fuck rehash

Give me something FUN.
I don't give a shit if it's OMG SPLATTER HOUSE! RICK AND THE TERROR MASK IS BACK :D no fuck rick and fuck his terror mask if the game ain't fun

I'm tired of people cashing in for names cliches and has beens
Give me something new that's addictive and fun and i don't care if it's a remake, a sequel, a rip off, a whatfuck.

I'd rather play a game that's new and fun
the play some rip off of another game, that happens to bear the name of an older game that has nothing to do with the gameplay except lulz word recognition

Hmmm, no a video game regardless of genre is designed to entertain and Okage would have done much better as an anime or manga instead of a video game because it literally took the design approach of a 1987 NES game and slapped modern graphics on it.

The game wasn't even "hard" because if you spent the 10 hours necessary fighting monsters to buy the next level of overpriced equipment none of the enemies could damage you.  That isn't "hardcore", there was no difficulty or challenge, there's no tactics involved; it's just pure straight up grinding which artificially inflates the play time.

As I said, the writing team should have teamed up with an artist and made a manga or something because the game itself is a huge kick in the balls to anyone who even approaches the good narrative.  I haven't played any other game like it where there's something so redeeming it makes up for all of the bad crap so Okage is the first game to do that for me.
