I'm new here, so my opinion probably doesn't count for much, but this game is freakin' awesome!
Makes me want to play the whole thing.

Haha your opinion counts...but just because it was something good about my game.  Lol I'm just kidding, welcome to RMXP.org!  (Oh, I meant your opinion does count, but I meant I was kidding about just because you complimented me...just to clear that up :P).

Tell your friends!!! ;)

PROGRESS UPDATE
I'm currently working on the area where the last Gate will be ^_^.  So once I finish that, I think I will be working on the final dungeon then.

Once the main game is complete I will release a complete game...which is exciting because I've never done that before!  But I will probably periodically release "patches" for the game which will add side quests and stuff.  Because right now, there are seriously NO side quests.

I am still having a lot of problems with my scripts though...I am trying to work out the compatibility between my party changing system and the battle system (RTAB)...and by working it out I mean I'm trying to get people that know what they're doing to work on it lol.  But sadly I am having problems getting help.  So if anyone can help let me know!

Wow. This is amazing. I wish i coudl do something like this.... Mapping, stroytelling, everything is great!

EDIT: Found a bug. At the eldinear bridge you can walk off of it around in the sky.

Thank you.

Yeah, that has been fixed.  I've gots the OCD so most bugs you find have already been fixed by now haha. But yeah, always report bugs you find just in case I did miss them.

Edit: Awesome avatar btw ^_^.

MAJOR UPDATE!!!

Right now, in my task bar, is RMXP.  What am I doing in it?  That's right, I'm doing the ending RIGHT NOW!  HIZZAH!!

Early in this week, I will probably release a "final version" of my game.  But it will have a boring battle system because the party changing system is conflicting with RTAB...I might even just have the default battle system...and not all the characters will have skill boards.  So I think for most of the characters they will just learn skills by leveling up.  Also I'm not sure really how balanced the battles will be...the stats were made to work with the RTAB, so they will probably end up being really hard or really easy with the DBS -_-.

So yeah.  In other words, I AM basically done with the main story.  I just need to get all the systems in order.

Edit: Actually...on second thought, I'm going to put the RTAB back in, and just use a different Party Swap system.  I was playing my game with the DBS and I got bored almost instantly lol.  But now I'm having trouble putting RTAB in...sigh...it's a never ending cycle haha.

Listen! I've played so many Rpg Maker Xp games it's not even funny. But this is the best one I've played in my whole entire life. I love it. I've played the demo about 50 times now. I can't wait for the finish version.

I also notice that you''re having problems with a party swap script and the RTAB. Actually i have both but I reccommend you getting Blizzard's Easy party swticher. It's great, it's so many features. For exmaple, people who are in the reserve section get any percent of the EXP as you want. It's perfect.

Wow...thank you so much lol.

I'll check out that party switcher Gan, thanks.  Is it compatible with RTAB?

Edit: Hey Gan, thanks SO much for the script suggestion.  Everything is working perfect now ^_^.  But one thing, how do you make it so reserve members get a percent of the EXP?

Your welcome. Everything I said was coming from the heart.

As for the party switcher. Yes, it is compatible with the RTAB.

As for reserve exp, it's in the script. on line 177. Besides, all the directions are there. Very easy to use.

Wow...

I just finished the demo.. and all I can say is, wow.

Everything in this game is perfect, ranging from the graphics, to the story telling. Your mapping could be better, but it's not bad. Also, I really like the fact that you've left it unencrypted, because I had some problems with the last boss(The vampire dude), so I gave myself about 5 levels. I hope that's okay with you. Apart from this, the battles were extremely balanced, and I actually enjoyed them, which is pretty rare in an RMXP game.

This my favorite game, after Quintessence, and I really hope this goes to become something great!

I agree. It's rare that you find a well balanced battle. It's funny how I did the same this when I got to the vampire. however I added like 60 levels.

The story was great. It really made me think about dreams. It was deep.

I gotta tell you, I was pissed when the demo was over.

60 Levels... lawl.

I didn't want to spoil the fun, so I added only five. And that made it a fair battle. And seriously, the story does seem very deep, I was amazed at how secretive certain things are, and how they're still related to the storyline.

BTW; who is Zeke? I'm really still wondering. Because:
a) He wasn't found in any dreamer base.
b) When the first gate was opening, at the beginning of the game, he sort of knew that the gate leads to the other word.

Freaky o.o'

Also, just incase it plays a very important role, don't tell me. I don't you to spoil any big surprises.

Thank you ^_^.  I tried very hard to balance the battles, I've done unimaginable amounts of testing, and that's what needs to be done to have a good game.

I'll give you the honest answer to the depth of my storyline.  I draw a LOT of inspiration from Tetsuya Nomura, particularly the Kingdom Hearts series.  Honestly, a lot of the stuff was just vague things that sounded cool, and I just built the story off of those things and tried to make sense of them.

In other words, I just make the game as I go.  I know that's not a very good method, especially since I had to redo a lot of pieces of dialogue and events several times because it didn't make sense.

Like I said, I draw inspiration from Nomura.  He leaves a lot of open and vague story points, which some people might consider bad writing; but really, that just allows you to more easily make sequels and prequels.

About Zeke, I honestly don't know why he knew about the gateway.  That's one of those things that I'll probably have to explain later on, but either way I'll have fun figuring that out.  That's the cool thing about making a vague (but logical!) story, I actually don't know what's going to happen.  Like the ending to my game...I was literally surprised at some of the plot revelations at the end lol...I'm not kidding.

But I think Zeke was just kind of in a trance by the power of the gateway...that is what I was getting at.  I'll just say to not dwell on that part...it probably won't be very important.

But yeah, you'll find out around the last Gate you seal all about Zeke.  It's very cool in my opinion ^_^.

I'm going through the final play test now btw ^_^.  I would say no longer than 2 weeks, and I'll have a fairly complete game uploaded.

The ONLY problem I might have, is that I dumped the complicated armor crafting system, and you just simply buy the Defense Gems now.  The problem comes when I realize that there were only two Defense Gem crafting shops in the game, but now that it's a more normal armor system (you just buy them), I may have to add a couple more shops, and that involves modifying the towns and stuff -_-.  Also, the prices for the Gems might not be very balanced...and by that I mean they will be on the cheap side.  But, who cares, it's cheap armor lol.

Hey there, I'm not sure if you remember me but I'm back!

Your game looks interesting by the way. I like the idea of Dreams being a focal point. I'm most interested in the Defense Gem stuff though.
