A lot of people are griping over the heroine being called Lightning. Her name is not Lightning, that is just her codename/alias to protect her identity. She is a resistance leader, therefore it is appropriate to do so.

and XI was the most fun I've ever had with an MMORPG.

Really...I can't stand people that sit there and complain about gameplay time. I think 80 hrs + is...overboard..but...

I can't stand games that encompass "several years", (or relationships between characters grow in strength and then an hour later are crushed) when the game turns out to be ten hours. Ten hours of good gameplay maybe..but come on....Halo's 1-3 Anyone? All good examples of this bullshit. whatever.

Anywho. XIII looks like it would be really good. I'm not going to start dissing 360 like the rest of you, because i have one, and because I'll likely never get a ps3, but it looks like it would be almost worth it.

The only thing that really turns me off is the real time battle system thing. I dunno, if they pull it off like they did in FF7: Crisis Core, which was sort of an atb/real time hybrid. I really enjoyed that game's battles.

Looks nice, but even though I know they're trying to play off 'Cloud' and 'Squall', 'Lightning' is quite possibly the dumbest name I've ever heard.

And I knew a kid named Dorcus.

They should name her rai.

Btw, Vaan is supposed to be Aladdin. 

And Squall wasn't modeled after Gackt, but by some character on some movie or television program. I can't remember who exactly.

Well I will most definitely buy both of the XIII games because as bad as it is I do buy anything with the title Final Fantasy slapped on it...mainly because I haven't really been entirely disappointed with any of them(well except Spirits Within).  Up until 9, IMO, were really great games that moved me and I would buy them because I knew they would be great games, and now it is more so just "fun" games.  X-XII really weren't amazing games, but they were fun and I enjoyed playing them.  That is why I am hoping XIII will break the chain of just "fun" games and be an AMAZING game.  If not, I rest assured it will still be fun to play.
