I recently saw some magazine scans with pictures of summons and some new characters.
Besides Shiva there is Ifrit, carbuncle, and Siren. There is also pictures of a new red haired female.

I thought Shiva looked weird, but I'm not disappointed by the other summons. I'm curious what role they will play in the story since the  summons in FFXII didn't really play a big role.

I can't wait till the December reliece for these games but unfortunatly onlly two of the FFXIII games will be on the ps3, the third will be a moble game, but I can't remember if it' on the PSP, DS ,or moble phone.  Also the Here in VS XIII is I believe the enemy in XIII

This is a little off topic for a moment-
I am so tired of 360 fans who say they want the Elite 360, but when I ask them why they just don't buy a ps3 insead(these people already have a 360) they say that the ps3 is too expensive.
For anyone who might say this themselves the 80GB PS3 and Elite 360 are relitively the same price, $500

The 40GB ps3 ($399) will play FFXIII the same as the 20-60-80 the only thing that it is missing is PS2 backwards compatability support. The 40GB PS3 is only $50 more than the 360 PRO

I remember when pictures of Vaan came out for FFXII, everyone said he looked pretty feminine (and I mean pretty). I just see it as square doing something different. They usually try to bring something new to their games to keep them standing out from the rest.

Btw, how many people have heard that FFXIII is the last of the series? I swear I've known since VIII that square wasn't going any high then XIII in the final fantasy series. No one believes me. Anyone else hear this?
Doesn't mean its going to be last final fantasy game. They'll probable milk the series more with spin-offs and sequels.

Also, there have been, and will be plenty of titles from SE which are of extremely high quality. You seem to be confused, as SE is not Squaresoft it is Square, and ENIX. Yes, that id need bold, italics, and underlining.

You missed the point. I'm not saying that Square-Enix make bad games, I'm saying that the Final Fantasy series went downhill after Square became Square-Enix and FFX-2 became the first FF game to be made by SE.

On a semi-related note: I hate FFX with a passion. Though I can't say that I entirely hate FFXII(of course, I haven't actually played it, but...), and XI was the most fun I've ever had with an MMORPG. I'm not really hyped about FFXIII, but it will certainly be interesting to see where it goes.

FF12 was ok except that it takes way too long to finish it. 80+ hours?

I'm not really hyped for FF13 because the main character is basically the girl version of Cloud. Not that I dislike Cloud but because it is just not original, and the fact Tetsuya Nomura isn't directing and designing it(I think).

Now FF versus 13, that is something worth anticipating.

Final Fantasy has always been longer games.  I'm not a fan of the FFXII style of game play though, I like how it is in X and X-2, but I don't like how often the random battles are.
