the particle thing looks FANTASTIC

but not with the ff rips. it might have just been the video quality but it looked like the particles were actual particles with proper blurriness and stuff.

can you replace them with just big PIXELS? to ensure graphical consistency
 
I was about to say that they are not blurred, but using the IMGzoom tag, i realize they are actually blurred :/

Probably an error I made when stretching them in paint.

Here's the Esper Editor!

All made using wxRuby, this editor can edit almost every aspects of Espers.
Note that it is not 100% completed. The "Maximum" button and part of the bonus fields aren't working.
Also, this is not the official editor, it's only an experiment. I'm was having fun with wxRuby. :)

That editor is pretty handy. It also opens the door to making other editors that do similar things to fit your needs. Well done Dargor.

Hows the demo coming along? Still on track for the end of December?
 
Thanks :) I'll be using wxRuby for more than my FF6 SDK. I'll make editors for my scripts and things like.

As for the demo, the only thing I can tell you is that it's still on track for December ;)
 
The demo is almost a year old (a bit less). The next demo is coming soon and this shouldn't happen anymore.

But, I'm curious, what kind of error did you get? A crash or an RGSS Error?
 
I will download again to see, because it crashes permanently.

When i try to use the one that already crashed, it says"unable to find the specificated procediment"
Well, my rpg maker XP is in portuguese, so it may be wrong, in portuguese it says"não foi possivel encontrad o procedimento especificado."

The other crashed one i tested bugged all the tileset, besides the above error...

i have a question, how many time left ´till the next demo<-----QUESTION
i just -love- the phantom train´s theme.and the phantom forest´s.....the world of balance´s theme remember me of FFXII.
Maybe that is because i never got to really play FFVI, since i wasn´t able to beat Vargas at all...Aria de Mezzo seems to be the aeirth theme´s father...

Because that battle bug that turns it unusable is REALLY frustrating.

okay, it bugged again, i would like to adversit that the cursor for magic is actually showing one spell below what it should.
Script 'Window_BattleText' line 51: no method error ocurred.
undefined method `-' for true:TrueClass

yep, that is the error i get.

Funny. This time it didn´t crash forever.
 
Don't rely on this demo to make your game. Even if it's Beta 2.0. You understand that this SDK is still in development? Also, the "unable to find the specific procedure" bug isn't really a bug. This occurs when you try running the game with the RGSS2 Player without using RGSS202E.dll

As I have said before, I don't want to give a release date for the next demo. All I can say is, I will release it before the end of 2008.

By the way, I think I have found the cause of the crash.
It seems that another application I have running on background is conflicting with Game.exe. I'm not not sure which one it is and I'm not even sure if it's really the cause, but after closing some apps, I've been able to play the game for 30 mins, and it never crashed!

I'll try playing it on another computer to make sure it's the problem.
I'm happy to see the problem isn't the SDK!

The RGSS202.dll must be in the game´s folder, right<------QUESTION
I was not relying on it,really, i was just experimenting..... I´ll stick with CrushD´s SO2 bs for now, at least until i end my proj.By the way, where did he go<----QUESTION  ~_~
 
Dude its really hard to understand your posts, u have to read em like 3 times to just get the jist of them.

I think your asking where the .dll has to be. It doesnt really matter. As long as it is somewhere on your computer RGSS seems to find it. To be safe put it in the windows file where it automatically installs when you install RMVX.

Hope it all sorted now, really looking forward to seeing this in action fully. How long do you think itll take to  finish the whole thing? By the end of this demo surely you wont be that far off completion? Will the next one after this be the complete version?

I think RGSS202E.dll can be placed anywhere on your computer but it would be safe to have it in the root directory of the game or in your system directory.

I finally found a way to continue working on it while I'm at work. Since I work in the video game industrie and I'm not on a project right now, I have a lot more free time to work on the SDK! That mean I will spend more than 2 hours a day on it.
After the release of the demo, I'll take a little break. I really need one. But this demo will probably be the last "demo". I want the next version to be entirely usable, but it will probably not be final.

And by the way, I tried the SDK on 2 other computers and the crash still occures... I really don't  know what to do :/
It tells me something like

Unknown software exception
Game.exe has encountered an error in section 0x00000000d (and other numbers) blablabla...

I dont know if you will be up for it, but if ya want you can send it to me and ill see if i can find the cause. im pretty good and finding things like that. Just let me know if you do and ill take a look.

I'm working on the CBS, trying to get to work as much feature as possible.
There's nothing really important I have to say about the demo right now, only that it will be released very soon ;)

oh and btw, nice one Kroda, I lol'd
