Which Link is the Smash Bros link.
Is he differant too? I read somewhere that the ocarina link and the mm link are the same.
Smash Bros Brawl is Twilight Princess Link.
Majora's Mask is a direct sequel to Ocarina of Time, yeah, and features the same dude. It's when they try to insert as many ancient Hyrules as they can (each with a different style of masonry) that things start to fall apart.
There's actually only one Hyrule and yes, it is pretty ridiculous. I used to know EVERYTHING about Zelda but I really hated Twilight Princess and stopped caring. To put it simply:
Link #1: Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
Link #2: Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Oracle of Seasons/Oracle of Ages
Link #3: The Faces of Evil, Wand of Gamelon, Zelda's Adventure (all of these technically aren't canon so Link #3 doesn't exist in the story)
Link #4: Four Swords, Four Swords Adventure, Minish Cap
Link #5 (AKA The Hero of Time): Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask
Link #6 (AKA "Toon Link" holy shit what a faggot name FUCK YOU NINTENDO): Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass
Link #7: Twilight Princess
Link #5 is actually the very first Link followed by Link #1, Link #2, Link #4 and Link #7. Link, Zelda, and Ganon are basically embodiments of the Triforce itself and when one of them dies a new one is born (Ganon is basically a spirit that can only exist in his true form within the dark world so he finds human hosts like Ganondorf or Agahnim). Wind Waker takes place hundreds of years after Twilight Princess and the world no longer needed Link which is why everyone ended up forgetting about Ganon and shit.
Ah, never knew. I didnt know MM was a sequel (never played it) but I just heard the thing about no two links being the same.
It takes place in an alternate world so it technically doesn't exist. Shiggy ended up retconning the whole "no two links are the same" bit once Ocarina of Time came out and he announced that Link to the Past and Link's Awakening link are the same.
