Final Fantasy 1 & 2... AGAIN!

As I ranted about on IRC last night, I much rather see less of these graphically enhanced ports, and see more of like what they did with FF3 -- remake and update it for the current generation.

Just like I'd also like them to take that ($&*#$ sweet as hell tech demo for the PS3 and turn THAT into a remake. And that goes DOUBLE for 8 and 9 as well.

See, i really like the new graphics, and ther'll probably be the DoS content plus some more. Perhaps they'l add a stroy for FF1, like in 3DS. I only wish i didn't already have DoS, because i'd really like to play it with that graphic style. It just looks so...Crisp and Shiny.

This is who SE is marketing to. People who are content with getting the same trash over and over again, with a somewhat shinier coat of paint.

Honestly I liked the old coat of paint better. At least FF for the PS3 looks pretty cool and could be really original. I have no problem for nostalgia but how many remakes can one take...especially as the remakes don't really add anything to the game except changes that people who played the originals won't like.

Well I suppose the reason they do it is because "they" dont do it. Chances are, just like with FF IV and VI for the GBA and the anthologies for the PSX, this is actually being developed by the ghostdev Tose which means its load times will be terrible and its translation will be passable, but not fantastic. Tose also made RocketSlime for SE, they're very hit and miss because Tose has the largest dev team of any, being an amateur stepping stone.
