I can pretty much hear you, but for people like me who haven't played the games yet, it's a nice addition... well, it would be, as people like me don't have a PSP ^_^ccoa;137937 said:Square, how I hate what you've become. -_-
Honestly, how do better graphics make this any different than the umpteen different copies of the same exact game you already own? Why would you waste your money on this when you could buy a game you haven't played before?

Celes_cole;138297 said:No... they said nothing about a FFVII remake. That was all rumored. Can't believe people go "OMG FFVII ReMAKE!!11!" to a tech demo when no one went "OMG FFVI REMAKE FOR N64zz!!" the tech for N64 and "OMGZZZZZZZZZZ FFVIII REMAKE!!!!" The tech demo for Ps2.
Oh well. I will probably get this if I ever do own a PSP. I have a DS and might just get DoS. I think it sounds more reliable... looks like it too.

FF5 advance had bad loading times and FF6 Advance(which isnt even out yet) sucked? OK dude... *laughs out of thread*

Square has adopted a policy they call 'polymorphic content' which is their title for maximizing exposure to titles by putting them in a variety of formats.
With Final Fantasy VII, and XII/Tactics, it is easier for them to create this polymorphic content by creating sequels, prequels, and spinoffs. However with the old games (read: Final Fantasy I-VI or Pre-PSX) the option for sequels and sidestories is pretty limited.
Personally, the only one I think that even comes close to allowing for a sidestory is Final Fantasy VI, and that's really pushing it.
The best example of this of course is Final Fantasy XII, which has a sequel being released for the Nintendo DS, allowing for non-Playstation owners to enjoy the title, and experience the storyline and gameplay. It's changed enough to allow for already-hooked fans to want to play it, but allows for people who aren't familiar with the PS2 title to experience it, and perhaps lead them to buy the original. Final Fantasy XIII is also following suit. There are three (or four I've heard) titles, each completely separate regarding character and plot, but similar enough to fall under the same game. I also believe each is being produced for a different system (360, PS3, and Wii/DS most likely. )
