Uh,how bout sponsers and members that have been around at least for 6 months vote?
Being around is different from being registered at a specific time.  The current restrictions are mainly in place so someone can't create multiple accounts to vote.  Also, someone can be around for a few days and get a very good idea of who everyone is.  I've been here for just over 6 months, which proves that activity doesn't necessary relate to registration date.

That was a joke, since I registred six months ago.

And y'know what?  This may seem like it'll be alright at first, but for somee reason I feel...no,know that this is going to end badly.

I'm h8ting on this unnecessarily.

I vote everything stays as is.

I mean, it's not bat how it is. Let's just see how this experiment flows. It going to be for two weeks only so then the old staff comes back.

@The Guardian - So we can't vote for technical administrators or wumpi(cat pajama's or whatever) category. That sucks. -.-

I still rather miss the communist takeover though.

Totti, I'm not really trying to keep beating a dead horse, and I'm actually not trying to prove a point now. I'm just wondering whether the general userbase is happy with the administration as it is, because I've been assuming most people don't have a problem with it, and you know what they say about assumptions. *shrug* Not saying the mods have to act on the results of the poll, but I'm curious.

It's not important, though.

I'm kind of curious as to who is actually upset with the current administration, though, too.  I thought all those people left.

Why don't we have a poll for who wants to vote in new mods vs. keep it as it is? I'm honestly curious as to where people stand on this.
We can have a vote after the experiment is finished.  A "Do you think this worked OK?" vote.  I'm a little hesitant to create a poll because I fear that someone will create numerous accounts to influence it.

Can't you just ban those people who create multiple accounts?

That's fair, but you could make a thread and just have everyone post so you can see if it's people who are actually active members of the community.

I mean, whatever, but I'm curious. It also seems odd to me to do something like this without determining whether people actually want it first, but my opinion doesn't matter too much, so...

I mean, the idea of forcing democracy on people is very anti-democracy. Although at this point I don't care that much; it just seems silly to me.

Of course, but a poll is anonymous, so we wouldn't be able to catch them easily.

I don't think anyone would post saying that they don't like the current system because they would fear being criticized for it.  From what I've seen, the people who have a problem with the system hold it in until they get extremely angry.  Plus, we're also curious as to how well it will work.  Democracy seems to be effective in real life, so we (or at least, I) want to see how it will translate in a forum.

We're not really forcing it upon the community because it's a temporary thing.  I would agree if we said we were going to have votes for permanent moderators/admins, but this is so minor that it won't really change anything.

I thought of that, but it doesn't have to be about whether people are happy with the current administration, just whether they want to try this experiment.

If you want, but I still think it's silly. But like I said, I don't really care that much, so do what you want.
