Am I the only who has dreams that you can fly, but you never really can FREELY fly, like sometimes you drop out of the sky or do a retarded glide or something?

When I'm going upwards, I can control it for a while, then all of a sudden, I start... losing power? and I start flying where I don't want to go, or it takes me a huge effort to make myself fly where I want to go, etc.

Why would that be scary? I do that when I'm walking around and I'm awake. It's very useful for seeing behind your head if you can learn to project your conciousness like that. I can tell colors and most details at almost any distance. It's fun to tell my girlfriend what shirt she is wearing when I haven't seen her all day and I'm calling after I get out of class. Not to mention noone can sneak up on me.
My dreams have first, third, and 'different person other then me' views if they aren't lucid. And they are fun.

Your pretty much saying that you have the ability to see in all directions, and are concious of things at very great distances; such as your girlfriends shirt color?

The only thing I can think he'd be talking about is Astral Projection which isn't dreaming and therefore not on topic :D
