I'm kinda speechless. For the most part, I could care less about what's going on with anime, but Dragonball is one of those things that I grew up with (reruns, that is.) It has tenure. I always liked the distinct flavour that the series had, and I'm not happy that it looks like they've gotten rid of all that in favour of another generic Hollywood piece.

i knew this was going to be crap when i first heard about it. i mean it's impossible to take any anime and make a good live action movie out of it (especially dragon ball z. i mean can you imagine what it's going to look like when/if they go super saiyen).

I didn't mind the Bulma hair thing, I thought the blue streak was creative; in fact I was having high hopes with a lot of the liberty's they took... but yeah.. I dunno. But hey, the transformers trailer looked like utter shit and when it came out it was fuckin' awesome so who knows?

Also there is ONE anime/live movie adaptation I thought they did pretty well; Death note.

I though Transformers wasn't that great. Found it kinda boring. As for Death Note, I agree with you. I think Death Note would make a good Live Action TV series as well.
