DOJ Ghost Ship

Im still liking this but i would still suggest angling those propeller rigs down a little... Want me to mess with a line see if i can suggest a hull shape?

A major problem you might be having is that the horizontal tiles (deck etc) are the the same shade and coloring as the verticals (walls etc)... I would suggest lightening up the walls to give some contrast.

If you'd prefer some real-time feed back, I'm always on msn ^_^

For me your pallet is just really flat and bland. Almost non existent. Everything sort of meshes to gether and its hard to see anything unless you kinda squint.

maybe it's my monitor but I feel like it's kinda dark. I mean it's okay in itself but compared to your other stuff going with it, the wood is too dark. Like the metal and the sign is too differnt. The sign especially pops in a not so good way. I'd just lighten the colors and add a bit of contrast overall on the ship.

Grah! Damnable arse, I think I'm more of a boobs man, this arse just ain't working right.  What I don't understand is how everyones monitors can be so bloody dark, when mine shows it as a dull grey ... :/

What do you mean different effects.
I duplicated the layer about 5 times and drop all the alphas down to 25% except for the bottom one. On the first i messed around with the Hue to get the brownish color, on the second i messed around with the color balance to get some purples in there, on the third i messed around with the contrast and brightness to get more solid shadows and highlights, the fourth one I messed around with the Highlights and shadows tool to further the effect and the last one I used the exposure tool*. Thats basically how I did it.
