Regardless of what you do, you must credit the original if you are using it like you have. I don't care what kind of stuff you can dredge up, credit rules are the rules of this forum. You drew Ryu from Breath of Fire III, perfectly similar right down to line placement, and pretended it was yours. This will not do. Remember that next time, you gotta acknowledge that it isn't an original. Traced or not, it's someone else's intellectual property and you have to respect that.

oh for god's sake... eye tracing is certainly good for training but copying someones work and call it your own... Tracing for practice is part of the Fair Use agreement. BUT! Tracing and calling the work your own does NOT state in the Fair Use agreement.
I will not regard that picture, and will comment on your previous ones.
You need to study basic anatomy and facial structure. Always begin with the basics. A good knowledge of basic stuff may actually be useful for someone who knows how to apply it.
I took the liberty of doing a quick sketch of your 2nd face you posted so you can have a good example of how it should look. Again, this is basic structure, you should learn this preferably from someone who knows how to do it, someone like a friend of yours or a teacher. Ask someone to help you out.

thank you for the help, i really dont know many people around here that know how to draw, every once in a while i can draw really good, but i can never draw people, i try alot but i think its the faces, i can never get it right..
how long does it usually take for you to draw something like your example?
it took me like an hour and a half to draw that one, lots of erasing..

Speed comes with practice. A lot of practice. So does your own style and line quality.

You should watch an experienced animator animate by hand... It's enough to make anyone feel inferior. They guys draw multiple pictures practically at once.

Okay people, party's over. He's explained himself about the copied picture and I'm sure he knows not to do it again. I'm not going to lock this but the next person to go HEY ITS COPIED is getting a slap. We know this already.

I don't think credit is really required by this point, since I assume he's moved onto another piece of art. Anyone who reads the replies knows who to credit, anyway (except for ShadowStory3.) If Capcom signs on and tells us that the picture needs to be credited or taken down, we'll comply, but by this point I agree that he's learned his lesson and we've hassled him more than enough for a simple misunderstanding of how Fair Use works.

thank you guys, and yes if it is a problem i'll take down the dumb picture.. i am on to a different drawing, im not quite finished yet but i'll post it soon
