Yes, but Toriyama himself has admitted that he doesn't like to draw a curved line unless he absolutely has to The angular look is his thing, and it looks fine when everything's that style and it's coherent. However, the OP's style is not so consistent, which makes the eyes look rather out of place.

And I wasn't serious earlier about burning it and sending it to Hell. If I'm serious about being an asshole, it's always much longer than that.

Like i said before, it isn't like DBZ, he does have a varying consistency with how he draws them, if you look they aren't all exactly right angled either, sometimes they have 4 sides some times 5-6 sides depending on the expressions. Very, very, very few of his characters have curved eyes. It's a style of its own, and the series is renowned by it and the massively large hair.

OT: Man if I had that much hairgel to make my hair stand like those DBZ characters my hair would fall out by the time I turned 25.

Although his eyes shouldn't be that far apart, either. Listen, I'm 20 and I've been bashed more than once. Most of us see somebody who has potential and critique them. Even Sic Semper means well. (The guy you said someone should burn) Now, my advice is this. Look everywhere at different styles and artists. Then, take what you think you would like to be your style from each of them. Make something new that nobody has seem before. There are people that won't like it and some that do. But I must tell you this. It will be yours and you will love it. I'm really interested in how your style matures. Keep it up and I'll be watching this thread.

P.S. I've taken the tutorials on the howtodrawmanga.com website. There's a link a bit higher. I love that one. it's awesome. Just letting you know. It will give you ideas more than say "This is how it is and should be." Or, at least, it didn't say that to me.

Also I agree with the frog eye comment! It's good to see your getting better and actually bothering to take peoples views! Most people just quit!

Edit: Also add some more shading to the shoulder gaurds as they don't appear rounded enough!

It's incredible how fast you are improving. It took me forever to get to the third step you have there. There are still things you can work on. Try now working on line quality. Try what the two above me posted, but also try to make your lines smoother and less jagged. It's hard and will take a lot of work, but it will make your art awesome. I like how you are doing, though.

(the hair?) cause i looked back at it and i saw a kinda mis-shapened spike of hair on the back of his head that looks bad, i'll fix that, if thats not what you meant, then please let me know and point it out to me so i can fix it up,

go on google and search 'how to draw manga/or anime online'.
Or maybe some how to draw books, thats what I used when I just started out drawing.
that might help you.
or look for some pic that looks like your charecter, and trace it thones of times. Then after that, try drawing it without tracing it. Then come back to drawing your character.

im redrawing a picture that looks like my character, i did it without tracing, AND  i added my own stuff to it, im not plagiarizing anything, its my own drawing, i just looked at the breath of fire 3 kid and drew it.. since i added my own touch to it and extras i can legally call it my own..
im doing this all for the help on drawing, these aren't even finished drawings for use in any way except for the help... so it shouldnt be any kind of problem if i use other game characters as inspiration, and its not like i went and printed a picture off and put my paper over the top of it and traced it, as you can see from my first drawing of it, an example, the eye, someone said it was way off, looked like a fish eye or something like that.

So you didn't *physically* trace it, you still copied it and then called it your own.

Plagiarism usually results in a permanent ban, so just be glad you got off with a warn. As things turn out, you might still get a ban.

look under the copyright and plagiarism laws under the "Fair Use" Guidelines... if youre upset about me using the breath of fire picture as a guide.
there is nothing wrong with anything that i did.

but even before the "Fair Use" Guidelines section there is a section in the Copyright and Plagiarism Law that says that once the original picture or word(s) is changed or altered in any way to make it show that its not the work of the original creator, it's void of the Copyright and Plagiarism laws.
you can plainly see the changes i have made... i dont see what the big deal is anyway..
so i used the breath of fire 3 picture for help to get me to draw better on my own, i learned how to shade and do alot of new stuff from that, and thats what this whole thread was for.

*edit* hey, if you want, go ahead and close this thread, i'll learn on my own....
