I am aware that this being a farewell message and that this message will target some of the administration and moderators of this forum, that this post will most likely be deleted. Many other farewells of this nature, both benign and terrible, have already been removed to demonstrate the lie people merely join the forum and that no one leaves. To this end, I have requested that copies of this farewell address be posted in other RPG Gamemaking forums to prevent .Org’s classic tendency of rewriting history to continue.
To the members of RMXP.Org, this action that I take was not based on any recent actions, but based on a history of incidents that still increase to this day. I have been planning to issue this statement some time ago and found that now is the proper time to do so. Please understand that this action is not a reprisal against the innocent members of RMXP.Org, but against the chief members of the Administration that had taken control of the forum that Erk and Ccoa had created years earlier.
Again, and too the innocent members of RMXP.Org, I am sorry.
This forum was once my home, but no longer. It has degenerated into a harsh internet site where members may become banned merely for the innocent and accidental act of necroposting. It has become a site where tolerance of one’s original work may be ridiculed by staff members with harsh and crude language not fit for some of the younger members. It has become a site that claims to be a professional forum for game creation, yet spawns topics and titles that are nothing short of perverse.
To this end, I have removed my personal RGSS scripts from the Submitted Scripts board and have changed the links to the demos and manuals which I have created. These resources will no longer be available to this forum and any attempt to repost these demos will be met with a repeat change of these same-said links. Please note that I am continuing to create RGSS scripts as well as RGSS2 scripts for the RPGMaker VX system. But again, my material will no longer be made available to this forum, either by myself or by any second party whom I will deem as hostile to my wishes. Please respect my actions and wishes.
Again, as I have said, I am continuing to work with RPGMaker XP and the newer RPGMaker VX, but not at this site. You may find my works in other forums that I frequent and at a forum that I and my friends are creating. These same forums are more tolerant and of a congenial nature than RMXP.Org, so you may quickly find yourself among friends. This is not an advertisement topic mind you, so I will not post the addresses of these forums. I would consider that bad taste on my ‘own’ part. I am afraid you will have to find those forums yourself.
With all that said, I do have a few words for some members of the staff.
To SephirothSpawn:
Hey, Seph. I know you’re here for the members. I do respect that. But I am leaving RMXP.Org, and in my own way I am doing this ‘for’ the members. There has to come a time when the behavior of the staff can no longer be tolerated. Now I will continue to check into other scripting forums as I have done so in the past. Heh. Found that guy plagiarizing your scripts last year, right? Found another guy doing the same with Mewstrus’s Mode07 a couple months ago. Well... I’ll continue to check around and keep ya posted.
To J.D. Slasha:
Dude. Still love your work. Been talkin’ ever since I took over Minkoff’s original, right? Got kinda worried when you were leaving back in January. Glad you did come back, but I just wish you got the moderation position under the previous crew. Still, you’re a member of a few of my targeted forums, so I know that this is not goodbye. More like a ‘catch ya on the flipside.’
To Sixty:
Hehehe... I do get a kick that Venetia made you change your name back. ^_^ Well, out of the actual administration, you’re one of the few that I actually trust. You never lied nor behaved poorly like so many others. You’ve been a strong member here in the past and hope to see you elsewhere... soon.
To Venetia:
*Sigh... married...* Just kidding. ^_^ Like Sixty, you’re still a respected member of the community in my book. You’re a pretty good artist and spriter. And you have a pretty generous and tolerant personality which makes you actually suited to be an Administrator or Moderator. That makes you one of the rare ones among your colleagues Oh, and your fairly recent topic on copyright law in respect to RPGMaker (or any homebrewed) games is a must read, and I do recommend it for all.
To Teloch:
Well.... um.... I have caught a little mischief on your part, but not so much that would sway me one way or another. Now for the comic side... I caught a couple pics of you in the ‘Post a picture...’ thread and... *.* Damn, girl. If one of the books I co-wrote ever becomes a movie, you got a chance to be the lead! I don’t have ugly lead heroines. ^_^ Other than that? Well, you do 'side' with the current establishment.
To Atemu:
I am so sorry. A couple years ago, you were a very polite and congenial member of the forum back when RMXP.Org was founded, right after .Net passed away. Since the administration changed hands from Erk and Ccoa, you have changed. You are not the same person I remembered and am saddened to this day. I will always remember the friendship I had with Skyla Doragono, but cannot help to wonder what happened to change you thus. Maybe I was blind to your intolerance of others as I have heard you never kept friends long on the net. This impatience is certainly not a quality of a moderator as tolerance is deemed a requisite of the position. I will say this however. If I find someone posting your work (like jounouchi.png, yuugi.png, ryou.png, etc. ) as their own, I will still report it immediately to you. I did so years ago and I will continue to do so.
To TREG:
Guess you didn’t know what you were getting into. I guess my own real gripes against you are the hiring and mismanaging of RMXP.Org by way of Despain’s shocking and disastrous return, and the manner in how you garnered RMXP.Org from Erk and Ccoa. I still have their farewell addresses as you can read below:
Unfortunately, I do believe that this is nearing the end. Unless you take action and remove Despain, he will likely sink this site. Remember the chatroom fiasco?
Oh, and for the record... I have seen that idiot... VigilantePunishment... argue with Punkid89 in another forum. Yes, simultaneously, and I am not a lone witness. Others have seen a couple arguments, even in chatrooms. Punkid wanted nothing to do with him so he could avoid a forum war that Despain obviously wanted. I will say that V.Punishment is not Despain as V.Punishment entered a forum after a number of Despain's IP Addresses were blocked from that same site.
To Wumpi:
You’re not an administrator nor moderator... true. You’re a Wumpi, and that’s a curious thing. I guess we have to read that chatroom to see (*wince*) how you got your um... position. At least you were 18 at the time. Unfortunately, other members underage could have been in the chatroom at the same time. Please Fran, use some discretion. Yeah... I caught your name. And you may wanna update some of your forum profiles. This one still says you're only 16!
To Despain:
Saving the best worst for last. I am glad to be rid of you. Always spamming topics or berating others who do not meet your expectations when you feel like it. The language that you use should not be public anywhere, let alone a forum where minors are permitted.
It is obvious why you chose SMF (SimpleMachines Forum) to be your forum-builder of choice. There are no restrictions or limitations, and your behavior can go unchecked in such a site without any recriminations. However, if you wanted to create a forum geared only to an adult clientele, I suggest you should insert a ‘COPPA’ package to restrict members based on age. That way, your unprofessional behavior will not be visible to impressionable minors. Unfortunately, that would mean the immediate evacuation of approximately half your members.
I cannot say that power has driven you this way because I know (from history) that you were repeatedly banned under the former administration... and it likely still drives you. Had anyone truly taken action against you during the IRC Chatroom* with Wumpi & Holly (twins?), you would surely have been banned. I mean... kids... ten or younger... could have been in there! And you KNOW this forum has members that young! At least use a private line!
* Discretion advised: Not for younger members.
In parting, and basically directed to Despain, allow me to quote from South Park’s Cartman.
“Screw you. I’m going home.â€

Ccoa said:To TREG personally - I am extremely disappointed in you. I thought you were a better person than this. I gifted you with my trust, but I see that was a mistake.
No one can hurt you quite like your friends, can they? Goodbye.
Erk":27kyop3n said:I think everyone should know I no longer plan on returning to rmxp.org.
...I'm not going to comment too much on recent events. I can see both ccoa's and TREG's sides of the story, although I suppose my full resignation makes it rather clear which side I am more inclined to favour....
...This was a great forum. I learned a lot administering it. I do not believe it will die under TREG's management, but I also do not believe it will be anything like the place my friends and I built. That is not necessarily a bad thing... I just no longer particularly want to be involved in it....
Unfortunately, I do believe that this is nearing the end. Unless you take action and remove Despain, he will likely sink this site. Remember the chatroom fiasco?
