this fucking hit my vision of batman and the batman universe PERECTLY. just HOLY SHIT IT was so amazing. the only thing that was even slightly annoying was batman's "in batman mode" voice which was over the top but it's okay because EVERYHTING WAS SO AMAZING

goodd it was so good. i want to talk more about it but it's hard to express it in details.

the story is totally badass and has a shitload of people manipulating other people and all that good stuff. lots of twists and turns with AMAZING CHARACTERS AND AMAZING CAST and it just NEVER SEEMS TO END. like three or four points i thought it was the climax for the movie but then it just KEPT GOING and getting COOLER AND COOLER EACH TIME.

seriously go fucking watch this. RIGHT

I've seen it twice already, and I whole-heartedly agree.  I came out of the movie shocked that something could even be that good.

I admit I was originally skeptical about the Joker, but after the "magic trick", I knew he was going to be an awesome Joker (I would also go so far as to say that was one of the best character intros ever).

I saw it last night on IMAX.

Batman's voice bothered me a little bit too, but I chalked it up to Bruce wanting to disguise his voice. Because I mean all those people knew him personally so it'd probably be too suspicious if he had the same lips and stature/build, AND the same voice as Bruce.

I was surprised that they killed off Rachel but it made a lot of sense. Also that chick was starting to look pretty aged.

I LOVE how they made Two-Face look. He didn't look like he had clown makeup at all, like in the old batman movie, he looked grotesque and burned up.

Kinda sucks that they changed the Two-Face origin story because that was one of my very favorite old batman stories but I DONT CARE I CAN'T FAULT THIS MOVIE FOR ANYTHING

Also the scene where they were chasing the armored car was the. most. amazing. scene. ever. period.

I wish next movie features Raz al Ghul or Clayface because they were my favorite Batman villains after the Joker, but I heard it's gonna be Two-Face with a The Riddler origin dealie. Which I'm sure they'll do a hell of a time with anyway.

Also I heard this movie made something like 17 million within the first MINUTE of release (midnight showing) so I can only assume this will break some major records.

i am not NEARLY smart enough to express in words how much this movie rocked so im just gonna parrot what everyone else said and say that it was SJEAMAZINGWPPDSSOGOOD i got to see it in imax and that is FANTSASTIC but i serious;ly doubt that it could have been any less SPECTACULAR in a regular, or even shitty-cheapo theater!

heath ledger was THE BEST thing ive ever seen. that is the aweseomest interprestation of the joker that ive ever seen and his performance just made it SOBEAUTIFULWONDERFULAMAZING

i loved the scene where batman went to hong kong to pick up Lao(sp?) and i thought he was gonna parachute or someshit but NO. that is way too MUNDANE FOR BATS he gotta signal a PLANE and grapple onto it and go back home. that was so cool

In all honesty this is pretty much the best superhero movie better. I just got back from seeing it again, and I think its just as good as the first time. Its so suprising how many people didnt see Batman Begins (like all my friends) and they think BM is gay, then they walk out of the theater with amazement all over their faces.

But seriously, greatest superhero movie. Its ironic cause sitting through it you forget that it is one because its subject matter is so great and the acting/writing is oscar worthy.

@Venetia: Ra's Al Ghul was actually played by Liam Neeson in Batman Begins, and he seemed pretty dead by the end of it.

As far as villains for a possible third movie goes, that's gonna be hard. Chris Nolan has said that Penguin wouldn't work for this version of Batman because it's too hard to explain. Killer Croc was in the AniBatrix, uh I mean, that weird "Gotham Knight" DVD that they released recently, so maybe they'll go with that. Catwoman's too cheesy. MAYBE Mr. Freeze if they could come up with neat, semi-plausable science behind that, or maybe Bane, like a huge guy on roids. Riddler is a possibility, but I think it'd be too similar to the Joker.

The Joker didn't die! But who's going to take on that role after what Heath did with it? Plus, people seem to differ on what happened to Two-Face...alive or dead? They're pretending Dent is dead, but did Two-Face die from that fall or is he just locked up somewhere? I thought dead...but others have said maybe not. I kinda hope he's still alive, cause he'd be a good central villain for a third movie

Yeah I saw this movie at the midnight showing. My friend and I showed up an hour early and I'm glad we did because it was packed. I had been waiting for this movie ever since I watched Batman Begins, and it totally lived up to my expectations. I can't wait to see it a third time, and hopefully I'll get to see it in IMAX!

Just got back from the theater...WOW. This is Heath Ledger's greatest achievement...rest his soul. I left hoping that this was it for Batman. I felt closure and hope they never make another one. Epic it was portrayed and epic it was. I'm going to go see it again.

I think it would be a slap in the face to Heath if the joker was to return. No one could ever live up to the way he portrayed Joker.

Lucius fox is resigning but will he comeback or the other guy who saw the tumber will help bruce? why the hell scarecrow is STILL running free? WHY DAMMIT DIDNT WE SEE GORDON DAUGHTER?? This wasn't a superhero movie.

But who's going to take on that role after what Heath did with it?

Heath Ledger could play it again from beyond the graaave. But seriously it is plausible. I'm sure there's enough unused footage and even clips from this one that could be digitally edited and altered, assuming that Joker would have a smaller part. The only difficulty would be finding a good voice actor, but I'm sure there's someone who could handle it.

Maybe he just does something to set events in motion. It's entirely possible. Probably unlikely, but I can't imagine any other route for using the character again.

I'm hoping Dent returns. He really is a fantastic villain and the way they used the Joker to create him was outstanding. There are a good number of villains in Bats's Rogues Gallery to be used, and I don't think I'll really be disappointed with any of them, if the next movie isanything like this one and the first. Hush would be badass, but he's newer and doesn't have much of a history. I think that Bane (a REAL Bane, intelligent and shit, and figuring out Batman's identity as Bruce) would be a great main villain.

Also Volrath I want to see the movie again, but my girlfriend doesn't. Hit me up if you want to go because I need a ride and want to see it again very badly.

Fox didn't resign. When he entered his name, the device was destroyed. Bruce knew that Fox would object to such a machine, so aed that feature.

Because he's a pretty rad badguy and they always escape. It was a cute little cameo, I think. Unnecessary, but cute.

This annoyed me too. We see a lot of his son but none of his daughter. It would have been a FANTASTIC way to introduce batgirl as a potential character in later films, nice and slow like that.

He's Batman, of course he can do it. He'll just have to be a bit more careful about things, but in the bigger picture not much will change about the way he goes about doing stuff. Also remember that Gordon knows the truth, so he can freely talk to Gordon about things. Not as publicly, no, but they will still be connected.
