Ok, I've looked through your work and I have a few things to critique.
(Holy crap I'm critiquing pixel art...this is a first)
1) Animations. Don't get me wrong, the whole point of animated battlers is to have them ANIMATED, but your animations look weird. The flame guys hair looks weird, actually ALL their hair looks weird- unless you're constantly in a windy place, their hair shouldn't be moving like that. Actually nothing should be moving like that. Unless it is windy constantly. Objects just don't blow around, they have gravity and weight. Also, I don't get the "sparkle" on the sword.
2) Proportions- Massive legs, tiny torso, even tinier RTP head. If you have massive legs, make your heads and torso's same proportion. Elbow to the tips of your fingers is about the same size of your CALF- their arms look absolutely tiny. The flame guy is reasonable but the rest look like you've cut of the RTP's body and stuck it on massive legs.
3) Shading- Look I'm not the best shader but your hair is extremely awful. It looks like you've stuck mops on their heads! Hair has strands, and isn't shaded like clothing.
4) Poses- This is mainly directed at that request you're doing, but WHAT KIND OF PERSON STANDS IN A POSE LIKE THAT? Think about how you would wield a broadsword, or ask the person requesting what they have in mind and get them to draw a stick-figure.
Or, better yet, look at poses made by other anim-bat artists or actual games. They have great examples of poses but don't copy them directly. People will recognize them, trust me.
